I recently got a 4K TV for the first time, and I wanted to upgrade my Netflix subscription to 4K because I wanted to have an awesome night watching “Leave the World Behind”. After that, I figured almost every movie and tv series would be like this.
But looking through the catalogue now, there are many HD titles for every 4K I can find. And I mean brand new titles, even. What’s up with that??
I also have HBO, and when comparing movies both they and Netflix have, HBO has more 4K titles. Like Black Adam: 4K on HBO, only HD on Netflix, and so on and so on.
Netflix just added Top Gun: Maverick, and not even that is 4K!
I thought I paid “6 more dollars to watch content in 4K”, not “6 more dollars for SOME movies to be in 4K.”
Or please tell me that Netflix is just not very good at remembering to list 4K when looking at the title specs, and that HD really means 4K…
Just watched a terrific film on Netflix called Blood and Gold. WWII setting but it's like watching a Spaghetti Western - even the music fits. It's brilliant. Loads of OTT action, cranky characters and Nazi villains. If you want a fun film then this is a must.....
