So i see a lot of people saying that they dont want this, but i also see a lot of people saying they do want it. I personally was just watching john wick and realized, huh, hed be a good shadow. then i remembered that sonic is a huge fan of keanu reeves and i thought, that would be a funny callback. But ive been thinking about it and thinking about it, and now i really REALLY NEED him to be shadow SOO BAD. would be great for sonic to say how shadow sounds similar to keanu, or at least that he sounds familiar, and keanu does have voice acting experience with some notable roles being duke kaboom in toy story and he also played batman in dc superpets, and i know that movie sucked, but keanu reeves batman was very good. I also see a lot of people saying Robert Pattinson would be a good shadow, mostly as an argument against keanu's shadow, and though yes, this is definetly my second pick, robert doesnt really have that natraully gritty voice like keanu, so the only basis you have for a pattinson shadow would be his batman, which is a more grounded and realitic batman with kind of a forced voice, compared to keanus more natural sounding voice. Though i do like a dark batman-esque voice for shadow, i think keanu reeves' natural voice is a better suit than robert pattinsons forced batman voice. Also pattinsons voice i think would be too recognizable as batman instead of just a gritty voice, and though keanus would also be very recognizable, at least it wont be constantly compared to the arguably most well known superhero, batman. Also keanu is just amazing.
This was kind of a vent if you will lol, because this started as just a funny observation from me but now im begging for this to happen and i think this is kind of building up my hype for this movie even more. with all that out of the way, who do you think should be shadow? Keanu, pattinson, or someone else? Am i justified for feeling this way or am i stupid? and please do explain why lol.
