I just unsubbed to hulu

[–]baldforthewinthe women are unionizing... 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What's crazy is when Rachel Lindsay was cast she said they told her they couldn't find the perfect Black woman to fill it until she came along.

Why do we have to be perfect and these white dudes get to be basic AF.

Tbh I don't even watch the bachelor I just listen to bachelor podcasts I'm caught up on the tea. I support creators without adding additional revenue to ABC

[–]oqueenbee1you sound actually ridiculous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only watch so I can discuss on here and have something to bond with my bestie over. I am not pro Zach but to call him boring and someone who offers nothing to us as an audience is a BOLD take after the main critique of this season is the fact that we didn't get a chance to KNOW any of these men because it was a 2 lead season. Zach also won't be the first boring, basic man, Matt James as Bachelor was horrible.

[–]melisma48 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You truly are boycotting, or you just want to make noise? I have started a list of people who claim that they aren't going to watch -- forgive my being forward, but I bet you'll be here watching and complaining. It might simply be easier to find new show on a different station.

[–]salutesols 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Which white man would not be considered basic? Y’all call every white less basic lol.

[–]unhappy_trashcan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

john paul jones

[–]theredheadedorphanExcuse you what? -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your take, but I do agree that we didn’t see anything of his personality this season… so as of right now I do view him as boring lol.

[–]framemegirlfor the clou-T! 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never had a say really since im not American but i definitely don't want to watch it even as a personal choice, both him and the girls they showed were terrible. He was also super awkward and im not really in the mood for another cringey lead.

[–]AlPal_05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t care much for the lead because I end up hating them anyway, even if I loved them originally.

[–]CrazyGal2121 4 points5 points  (2 children)

show is super boring

i didn’t watch it at all but i came on reddit to see everyone else’s thoughts LOl

i just don’t wanna give it any views. i want it to burn to the ground quite frankly

[–]Electrical-Eye-2544 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It was just a bunch of nonsense that felt completely thrown together at the last minute, unhinged, and I can’t even start with Jesses needing to express how everyone is feeling constantly. Like we have the context clues that Rachel is sad but make her sit there while you say it five times? So awkward. Please stop. Not to mention we got absolutely zero information clarifying any Tino/Rachel’s ending. Aven deserved to come out without Tino sitting there staring.

Can’t hear proposals because of fucking birds? Who created this travesty of a proposal site for TV purposes?

Bring up the blackface stuff in the intro but then nothing? What is that?

Making Zach try to remember the girls’ names and he couldn’t remember one? Great job, really making me dislike him even more than I already did which I thought was impossible.

Production really fucked this entire thing up majorly.

[–]CrazyGal2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah totally

i ended up watching a random youtube clip of tino and rachel’s break up cuz i was curious and then i stopped after 30 seconds because it seemed sooo melodramatic and like a soap opera

like what happened to a show that i once really loved?

i remember ashely’s season and brad womacks season and those were the good ol days

[–]nhink 40 points41 points  (1 child)

Eh, for me the contestants make the season. Leads are inconsequential.

[–]Significant_Ad7605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did not like Chris Soules at all, but what a cast!

[–]Rainbow_Catto 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Good for you. Godspeed.

[–][deleted] 27 points28 points  (1 child)

I don't even care who they pick as leads anymore. The show is just done. Everyone wants to become an influencer or go to paradise/audition to be the lead. I'm not a sap but there's no actual love anymore. Some scenes are so obviously fake and the show just isn't what it was anymore. I'm done watching because of that.

[–]PuzzleheadedLie722☀️🌊Almost Paradise 🌊☀️ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like they are also casting people with bad backgrounds 🥴 it seems like every season once the show airs someone ends up being racist, or MAGA, or cheating on someone/leaving them to go on the show. I wish they would do ANY research, the fans always find this shit so easily like come on

[–]Adobo6 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The stuff about Erich in high school could have been brought up and I think he could have apologized and said he was a dumb hs kid bla bla. But the maga stuff is tricky because I would wager a lot of bach nation is conservative. Personally I think maga hats are walking idiot billboards but should ABC drag this guy for having a political view 45% of the country have?

[–]pinktulips8989 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I started tonight. Turned off the TV the third time Zach said awesome and not looking back. I’ll rewatch some of the old golden days season and reminisce 🥀

[–]Nba2kFan23 5 points6 points  (1 child)

ABC doesn't beleive white people can relate/empathize to non-whites... is it true?

[–]270owl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not when they’re sheltered and boring with no dimension. After this whole season I still have no clue what he does for a living or what his hobbies are. Seriously so boring

[–]klinn08 14 points15 points  (2 children)

I can’t understand why they cast him! They HAVE to know he has the personality of a caterpillar and won’t make good TV.

[–]lilbitTasty300 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't forget these are the same people that picked Clayton because he got along with 7 year old children.

[–]jeanortBachelor Nation Elder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]pcollingwood39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]tonerslocers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m just not going to watch because it’s boring and awful. I’m done.

[–]Zealousideal-Sea2750 25 points26 points  (2 children)

You nailed it-on every point. Shit show doesn’t begin to describe this season. And that bit with Aven coming out in front of Tino and leaving with Rachel was new level cruel. Jesus he didn’t murder someone! Yet Erich commits an act of outright racism and isn’t even questioned about it? Are you kidding me??? Omg and when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, the new bachelor came out. That 30 minutes was so painful to watch I can’t imagine the full season. I am so done!

[–]Weak-Weekend-6065 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I truly hated it. It’s the same rinse and repeat. We’ve seen it so many times. I really may just sit this one out. No hate toward Zach, he seems like a nice guy…. They just have so many options and this is who they choose??

[–]Zealousideal-Sea2750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. No hate to Zach! He just seemed so ill prepared to take this on. Like a deer in the headlights! Not sure he’ll survive this! 😂

[–]throwaway234567809🔥ROSE CEREMONY FROM HELL🔥 22 points23 points  (1 child)

I was just thinking about how I need to take this show less seriously and then came across this post. Girl, the bachelor is not going to change society no matter how much it improves. Enjoy the boycott but I think maybe we all need some perspective

[–]homerthecatfuck the viewers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly said.

[–]macademicnut 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I’ve literally never been more bored by a choice. Tbh I would prefer someone messy over him. Nothing against him, it’s just… so boring

[–]lilbitTasty300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clayton I was more bored by Clayton

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely better reasons to boycott the season, including some of the things you mentioned in your post.

[–]anxiousesqie 29 points30 points  (1 child)

If you’re going to give us the same generic lead, at least give us two!!

[–]macademicnut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fr, either gabby or Rachel could’ve carried a season on their own, yet you give a solo season to a guy nobody is really interested in

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Agreed 100%. ___ is great/solid man, but I just hope the women are pretty interesting or I’m not watching. Pilotpete was the only exciting bachelor. Plus he’s young, it’s not really believable for me that he wants to marry someone. Really just seems so contrived even much more so w ____

[–]anxiousesqie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh man, Pilot Pete bored me to death. The Bachelorette leads are always way more dynamic and compelling than the Bachelor leads.

[–]hairnetqueen 38 points39 points  (2 children)

Yeah, he's boring, but it's always the women that make the season. Most of the men this sub holds up as good bachelors were boring. Chris Soules? Dull. Sean Lowe? Snooze. Ben whassizface? Yawn.

Even when the lead has an actual personality (see Matt James - and maybe Clayton?) it gets edited out in favor of... well, in favor of what I'm not sure. I guess the lead is supposed to be like a self insert character in a YA novel, hot and sort of generically appealing. The only time they show the lead's personality is when you're supposed to hate them (Juan Pablo, Ben F, maybe Pilot Pete a little?). Kinda want to make a ted talk about this.

[–]blammocapt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Matt James had personality? What was I watching.

[–]macademicnut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The standard for bachelorette leads always seems to be way higher than for bachelor leads

[–]Appropriate-Job-2797 41 points42 points  (1 child)

I have been watching this show since middle school and I am now 30. I’m about done. I’m fatigued. It’s the same ole, same ole each and every season. The past few seasons have just been meh to me but I think it’s bc this show has been on for SO long and it’s redundant. It’s been a good run but it’s time for something new.

[–]realitea1234So Genuine and Real 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I DVRed this season and couldn’t bring myself to actually watch the last 6 episodes knowing all the spoilers. It wasn’t worth the time and energy.

[–]ikedla 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I really think ____ seems like a very sweet guy, but extremely boring for the purposes of this TV show. What I want more than anything, is a season with completely new people. I don’t want to see a single fucking familiar face on the whole season. Throw them all out and start over. Brand new.

[–]BookerPhil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

. If he came like 3 bachelor seasons later, I would be fine with him. He will make a great bachelor I truly believe we will see a happy ending unless it's like peter's cast of women. IK I didn't watch Sean Lowe's season in real time but I think that is the angle he will get.

[–]Valuable-Afternoon-1 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I think he is too young in my opinion. I want a bachelor 28 and older.

[–]that0neweirdgirlClub Katie👸🏻 33 points34 points  (14 children)

Would've been great to see Ethan as the next Bach

[–]blondewithafaketan 10 points11 points  (11 children)

He got five minutes of screen time

[–]macademicnut 3 points4 points  (10 children)

Yet he’s still more interesting than Zach…

[–]blondewithafaketan 1 point2 points  (9 children)

We literally have no idea nor do we know what kind of person he is. Y’all put people on a pedestal for simply existing

[–]macademicnut -2 points-1 points  (8 children)

“We literally have no idea what kind of person he is”

EXACTLY. That’s a problem. Why was he picked as a lead when we don’t know anything about him? This is a reality show. We’re talking about someone’s ability to be a compelling reality show lead, not what they’re like as a person. Obviously everyone’s going to rely on the screentime we’ve seen, and that’s totally valid.

[–]blondewithafaketan 1 point2 points  (7 children)

He’s not even compelling on tv? Again, he had no screen time.

[–]macademicnut -2 points-1 points  (6 children)

That’s my point? Someone with A) barely any screentime and B) nothing that interesting within the limited screentime shouldn’t be chosen as a lead. I.E Zach.

I’m not saying Ethan is a better person than Zach, I’m saying he did more with less screentime, which is a valid reason for saying I’d prefer him as lead. And yeah, the first Asian bachelor would be awesome. We’ve had literally one non white-passing bachelor, personally I would love more diversity.

[–]blondewithafaketan 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Clearly he’s not compelling if he didn’t get any screentime. There were likely hours of footage of him.

[–]macademicnut -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Are you talking about Ethan? “Baby back bitch” was literally more entertaining than anything Zach did. And interesting how you just completely ignored my comment about diversity, which is a major reason why I’d prefer him… and also probably a factor in his editing. I guess you’re the type of audience the show still caters to with the Zach types🤷‍♀️

[–]blondewithafaketan -1 points0 points  (3 children)

I actually find it super patronizing to advocate for someone to be the bachelor because they’re. POC, especially when we know nothing about said person. When we put people on a pedestal without knowing anything about them, we hold them up to an impossible standard. It’s incredibly patronizing.

I never said anything about Zach (I even said in my comment history that I won’t be watching his season), but thanks for being rude :)

Baby back bitch is a single line. We don’t cast someone as the bachelor for a single line, but for their storyline. Ethan simply didn’t deliver enough compelling footage to get more screen time.

[–]Classifiedgarlic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He’s so dreamy and has a personality that’s more than going to the gym

[–]pineapplezzsBaby Back Bitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wanted him. Handsome and funny with a secret really hot bod. I know more about him than I did about Clayton

[–]ltek93 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The only thing we don’t know - or at least right now, is who would have wanted it. What if Aven wasn’t interested? It would have been great to have a Mike season a while back but we know something else was going on behind the scenes with that. I think they would have picked him but there was maybe something he wasn’t willing to do if he was and they didn’t like that. I know everything I’m saying is super vague and I don’t like the picks either…I just think sometimes there is more to it.

[–]T0MMYG0LD 0 points1 point  (1 child)

what do you think he wasn't willing to do?

[–]jab00dee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Mike is too self assured to go along with productions antics and too beloved that if anything bad happened, people would blame production automatically.

[–]lincunguns 85 points86 points  (4 children)

Ok, so you’re not exactly wrong in your criticism of ____ as a basic white male, but is this sub ever going to stop pretending that this franchise isn’t the Pumpkin Spice Latte of tv shows?

[–]AttyMAL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you. This right here. This is a show designed by and for traditional heteronormative, conservative white people, mostly from the Bible Belt. If you're looking for something more diverse, try Love Island or any of the recent Netflix exclusive dating shows.

[–]macademicnut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pumpkin spice lattes got a bad rep and they’re season specials, don’t compare them to this unseasoned mess

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (1 child)

Yeah this sub wants the show to be something it’s not. A hate watch is still a watch for producers.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt like hes a good casting for the bachelor. A boring casting for love island. But the girls drama is what will make the show, hes just the background prop that progresses the storyline.

[–]here4sweetsncryingsupporting from afar 🧛‍♀️ 5 points6 points  (8 children)

I feel the same. Zach is the most boring and predictable choice. Also my expectations were low for TPTB but to completely ignore the blackface was disgusting. Racism should be a problem in a relationship, Gabby should care that her partner once did that and want to discuss it. It’s relevant to the show and should’ve been mentioned.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I don't think that's fair to assume. Just because these people are in the public eye doesn't mean they have to discuss every relationship woe publicly. I am sure they talked about it in private: I don't think really he could win at this point anyway. People don't like his Sm apology and I highly doubt people would just be like yeah ok good if he talked about it last night either. He was a dumb white kid who was never taught why you can't do blackface. It's wrong, he knows it, he apologized. What more do you want?

[–]here4sweetsncryingsupporting from afar 🧛‍♀️ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t assume anything. The show didn’t address it. We’re talking about a show entirely centered around this love story, and they sidestepped a pretty crucial bit of information about one half of that couple. It’s not just gross, it’s very odd and confusing for the show to pretend like that never happened.

[–]anxiousesqie 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I don’t think what the show asked her about and aired is really Gabby’s fault. She wasn’t the one asking the questions. Gabby is a WOC herself, so she probably handled it with her fiancé on her own terms. And if she didn’t, seems like Becca was pleading for her to, and hopefully she takes that advice.

[–]here4sweetsncryingsupporting from afar 🧛‍♀️ -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I never said it was Gabby’s fault. I said it was relevant to the show and should’ve been addressed. They’re in control of what is shown and they could’ve addressed it.

[–]anxiousesqie -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I was just responding to your “Gabby should care and want to discuss.” I’m not sure what indicates that she doesn’t care.

[–]here4sweetsncryingsupporting from afar 🧛‍♀️ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, but I didn’t say whether or not she cared. I said she should care. Since the topic was never addressed on the show, we don’t know if she does, beyond her vague non-answer about it in interviews today—which itself does come off as not caring.

[–]T0MMYG0LD 4 points5 points  (1 child)

perhaps she does care, but they just decided to discuss it off-screen? can't say i'd really blame them after having their entire lives on camera for months.

[–]here4sweetsncryingsupporting from afar 🧛‍♀️ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say she didn’t care. I said it was relevant to the show and should have been addressed in the show. When the show is trying to sell us on a beautiful love story and side-steps the ugly racist history of one half of the couple, that is not just gross, it’s also a bizarre ignoring of reality.

[–]belgianamericanbabe 15 points16 points  (1 child)

I agree their choice was dismal. But I get the sense most people who are upset with Zach would be perfectly happy if it were Greg instead. Another boring basic white man, but one who we've seen show concerning instances of manipulation and emotionally abusive tendencies.

[–]megano998softcore taco porn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

🙄

[–]youlearnsomethingnewBlack Lives Matter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's nothing personal against Zach, but I just prefer it when the bachelors are more established...even Pilot Pete was a catch. First with Clayton, and now Zach, they seem to be following a new trend of choosing men who don't really know themselves yet. Men typically don't settle down before they've settled into their careers.

And the reason why it's a problem is it means even more fakeness from the female contestants who are going on TV because they already turned down the Zachs in their life and wanted something...special? It's usually more fun when the women are genuinely obsessed with the lead. I was hard on Clayton but in retrospect I could see how he could be very striking in person, and the women definitely fell for him...idk, I'm just not seeing the narrative potential with Zach. He gives me "semi-serious BIP engagement" but that's it.

And was Pilot Pete the last bachelor whose Bachelorette lead was actually into him? I feel like that's also indicative of whether someone would make an entertaining lead or not.

[–]redditerlablind to red flags 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was so bored at his entrance on stage I just stopped watching 5 seconds into him talking

[–]ChiefWatchesYouPee 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That’s Awesome

[–]bighustla87 41 points42 points  (8 children)

Honestly, its comical how critical people on this sub are of the men. I've seen more awareness of it recently, but its still funny and widespread as ever. People say Tyler C is unattractive. 6'5 ex-NFL players with symmetrical faces are dubbed "mediocre". If there is nothing direct to criticize you call them "boring" to try and describe your general lack of interest.

There is not a single man in the cast from the last decade that would make more than 1/3 of this sub happy as Bachelor. We can definitely ask for different men, or a different approach to casting. I'm not convinced we will find anything "better" that would change the sub's perceptions of the men though.

The negativity and how the men are perceived is just part of how the sub chooses to experience the show at this point. So is the weekly "I'm boycotting the Bachelor" post.

[–]AttyMAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this is an on-going thing with women judging men's appearances. There was study done on the dating sight OKCupid several years ago and women only rated about 10% of men to be average looking or better, meaning they ranked 90% of men to be below average looking. Meanwhile, men ranking women's looks appeared more like a traditional bell curve, where I think like 60% of women were ranked as average looking, 20% below average, and 20% above average.

[–]homerthecatfuck the viewers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way. I find it very disappointing that this sub always chooses the lowest form of critic and humor. All these folks who go on the show are conventionally attractive, which is why I think the sub feels safe insulting their looks. For some reason, a guy who is moderately good looking and “knows it” must be taken down a peg lol.

I understand someone not being everyone’s “type” but to minimize someone’s humanity by shitting on their looks or “lack of personality” or cause “they give you the ick” really makes me sad. For a sub that prides itself on high moral standards regarding social injustice, they consistently miss the mark on this one. Comments being causally cruel are what led to my ED, and overall it’s just not an interesting thing to add to the conversation. I’m disappointed people still think men are somehow less sensitive to insane critic on their bodies. This sub does it to women in a more subtle fucked up way but with men they just outright call them disgusting. Like are we seeing the same man? He’s clearly handsome and we don’t need to pretend he’s not.

[–]T0MMYG0LD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

white guy? he's probably racist!!!! /s in all seriousness, i couldn't agree more with your post. i've noticed the same thing around here

[–]PearlDrummer 9 points10 points  (4 children)

Excuse me, this sub is a white man=bad cult. Now fall in line soldier.

[–]TheOfficialPessimist 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Reddit is never representative of "real life." That has never been more clear than the last 5 years of this platform. The demographics of this subreddit are so skewed, they would be statistical outliers and be thrown away for any relevant decision making by the production of this show.

[–]AttyMAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Add Twitter and most social media outlets in there too. No one should ever look to social media as a gauge as to how popular or unpopular something is, because only the hardest of the hardcore are on those platforms discussing/criticizing the subject.

[–]SillyDonut7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder what the demographics of this sub actually are.

[–]PearlDrummer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% it’s ridiculous

[–]Capable_Ad7619 18 points19 points  (1 child)

We said we wanted Aven and they responded by giving him .5 more seconds of air time just to ask Rachel if she wanted to talk. sigh

[–]T0MMYG0LD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they pretty much rubbed Tino's face in it, too, i felt so bad for him right then. you could tell by his expression that it hurt

[–]Ok_Moose1334 13 points14 points  (6 children)

Yeah I’ve had it. They have a prototype and they don’t want to deviate from it. It’s not good TV, it doesn’t reflect US demographics, and it’s insulting that they think women only like this one specific kind of guy. Mike Fleiss has a type & it’s beyond creepy at this point. Also 26 is too young for the role, give us a man with more life experience. I want maturity, personality, & diversity

[–]TheOfficialPessimist -1 points0 points  (4 children)

It’s not good TV

It’s not good TV...for who? For you?

, it doesn’t reflect US demographics,

Are you actually confident in this statement?

[–]Ok_Moose1334 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Yeah I’m positive their casting doesn’t reflect US demographics. Not sure where you live but as of 2020, 61.6% of Americans are white only. But almost all Bachelors are

[–]TheOfficialPessimist -1 points0 points  (2 children)

61.6% of Americans are white only. But almost all Bachelors are

Now analyze this statement with the ratings of the show based on demos. You'll quickly come to a conclusion as to why that is the case.

[–]Ok_Moose1334 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Look, I’ve seen enough of your comments to understand where you’re trying to steer this. Suggest you do some work on yourself

[–]TheOfficialPessimist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a racist? Can you explain this conclusion, or are you a fling mud and block kind of person?

[–]winnieofwinchester[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

exactly this. ABC is being decisive in their choice for representation in leads. obviously there are men of colour looking for love in America, but those are love stories ABC doesn’t want to show to us

[–]MaryLondon1414 59 points60 points  (2 children)

This episode painted Tino as the devil all the while completely ignoring Erich’s racism. Then they give us Zach Milk Sop Shallcross. Be better ABC!

[–]heyhellowhatever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup this is my take too. Incredibly frustrating and bleh.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed ugh

[–]bsc03114minor idiot 39 points40 points  (2 children)

I’m okay with the Zach choice. He seems genuine enough and the ladies usually carry the show anyway

[–]Classifiedgarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hopeful that ABC at least gives us more Queen Victorias

[–]UnotherOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He seems genuine enough and the ladies usually carry the show anyway

That's because they always pick passive men. Give us someone more passionate.

[–]accioalexandra 49 points50 points  (3 children)

I actually am really looking forward to Zach. He does seem really earnest, and I think his personality wasn’t shown. He’s not the funniest or wittiest, but I do think he’s charismatic and well spoken, and ready for marriage. Hopefully will lead to a Sean Lowe season, loved that they related the two

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Funny how I don’t see everyone calling Sean Lowe a “mediocre white man”? And yet they hope he will lead a Sean Lowe-type season, as you said

[–]accioalexandra 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Sean Lowe is a unicorn bachelor & a good man. The trifecta of charm/charisma/wit. Yeah Zach hasn’t shown us ALLLL that yet it doesn’t mean he’s not a good guy. To me it looks like he gets nervous in front of the camera. Might be a bit more average than Sean but I see similarities

[–]SillyDonut7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly, he just seemed really anxious. Hopefully, he'll be able to relax into the role and show more of himself.

[–]ladyimpatient3 91 points92 points  (3 children)

This is said every season lol

[–]ddxxr888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Reddit, yeah.

[–]macademicnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really gotta do something different

[–]aphra2Team Jacuzzi Appointment 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Every. Single. Season. The men are all so dang boring!

[–]bluerang1 42 points43 points  (5 children)

[–]megjedthey make sea unicorns?🌊🦄 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Is he a good dude from what you know?

Can confirm Zach is a stand up guy with all the best intentions.

[–]SillyDonut7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love to see it.

People said this with Clayton & the sub was still poppin’. I hope ppl stick to it.

[–]princssofpinkTeam Mimosas and Bathrobes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right like we don't need these bitter Bettys bringing down the energy in the live thread lol. This isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure!

[–]UnotherOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The season can still be good, we would just like a different type of man for once.

[–]theejaydee123Excuse you what? 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The only reason I’m grateful for this pick is because grad school is getting rough and I’ve still got a year to go. Happy the Bachelor pick means I can gladly miss out while I finish out my studies.

I’m gonna watch BIP then dip out for the Bachelor season. I’ll let those of you who watch it tell me if it’s worth it to pick back up for Bachelorette again.

[–]123abc889345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I’m done. Even if I’m tempted out of sheer principal I won’t watch next season.

[–]Imthecoolestdudeever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy SUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKSSSSSSS

[–]StellychloeDo you, like, work... at all? 9 points10 points  (10 children)

Blonde #1 looks like Tomi Lahren

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they are all copy paste of one another meh

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤮🤮🤮

[–]buffalocoinzmold wine🍷 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t watched a bachelor season since Colton’s. I mostly hate watching 19 year olds seeking tiktok followers, but agree with your points too.

[–]jilli_an 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This show over the past 5 years: 📉

[–]One-Effort6783 139 points140 points  (7 children)

I wonder if he is the bachelor because he’s one of the only ones with no dirt

[–]divafaceTeam Are You Fucking Kidding Me 12 points13 points  (1 child)

i believe his family is super conservative republicans so it’s only a matter of time, i think. his famous uncle joked about it with adam carolla, who also sucks.

[–]carlysaurusChateau Bennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes on bikes. I knew Puddy was a conservative Christian, but woof.

[–]jilli_an 90 points91 points  (4 children)

And his uncle is KRONK!!!

[–]StellychloeDo you, like, work... at all? 20 points21 points  (3 children)

Is that also the same actor that voices Joe from family guy???

[–]jilli_an 23 points24 points  (2 children)

YES! And Puddy from Seinfeld.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Hopefully will see Uncle Pat in The Bachelor once again.

[–]jilli_an 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I bet in Zach’s contract it explicitly states that Uncle Pat has to make more than one appearance lol

[–]tacoribiotchyou sound actually ridiculous 65 points66 points  (3 children)

I love the quick to write zach off, give the guy a chance to show us more of him. It can’t be anymore boring than Matt’s season

[–]macademicnut -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have nothing against him but nothing we saw from the show or today tells me he’ll make a compelling lead. At least Matt was the first black bachelor, which was different from their usual formula, Zach has nothing interesting whatsoever

[–]MaryLondon1414 37 points38 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Matt James was a catch. I also thought the producers edited out his personality. I feel Zach brings nothing.

[–]jilli_an 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s Clayton 2.0

[–]Cool-Associate33 45 points46 points  (2 children)

I, for one, love Zach. I also love Aven, but happy with either.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Love Zach but for the purpose of tv, it would be more fun to see Aven!

[–]ddxxr888 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aven’s not ready to be engaged though, thus ruling him out as a potential Bachelor lead. Zach very much demonstrated that he’s ready for that step.

[–]KumquatBeachBaby Back Bitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Literally reading this post while (new bacherlor's) women are being intro'd during the finale ep and 4/5 of them look the same... I think I'm ready for a beat too

[–]Nycsunflower 37 points38 points  (5 children)

The morning bailen 🤦🏻‍♀️

[–]ddxxr888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My biggest concern about this is he clearly isn’t a big drinker and isn’t down to clown if he can’t remember a name like Bailey.
