r/Rivian is the largest and most active fan-run auto-enthusiast Rivian community. We discuss the electric vehicle company, Rivian Automotive, along with their products and brand (not the stock). In 2022, Rivian produced 24,337 EVs and delivered 20,332 — up from 1,015 in 2021. In Q3'23, Rivian produced 16,304 vehicles and plans to produce 54k (previously 52k) by end of year across the R1T, R1S, and Amazon EDV.
Has anyone gotten definitive information about when the entire network will be available for Rivians (and other recent NACS converts)? For clarity, I’m not referring to the limited number of chargers outfitted with the MagicDock.

I’m currently at a resort where the three chargers spread out. There is only one on our side of the lake. I went to charge my car last night as we are leaving today and there was an X on the charger. I sat there for awhile because I wanted to see if they would be done soon and would come back. I ended up leaving and coming back this morning. It is still there, and they aren’t. I actually need to charge as I am at 30% and need to leave and the closest supercharger is too far away. Their car is obviously full as it sat all night on the level 2. I am just going to unplug and plug mine in as I have no choice. What is the etiquette of this situation?

I am looking into getting an EV but most likely not a Tesla. I am looking at the Lucid Touring as well as the BMW IX.
Theres a parking lot near where I live that has 10 Tesla chargers and a few EVgo chargers. I am curious.. Non Tesla EV’s cant use Tesla chargers right? Whats the issue with that?

Hi all,
I’m currently driving a 2020 BMW and thinking about moving to a Tesla Model Y in early 2024. I’d love to get some real-world feedback from you guys, especially those in the UK.
Here’s what I’m keen to know:
-
Rattles and Interior Noise: How do Teslas hold up in this department? Are they quieter or noisier compared to a BMW(or other premium brand)? I have heard a lot about rattling from the rear/boot.
-
Ride Comfort: What’s your take on the comfort and smoothness of Teslas? Lots of talk about harsh rides and something Tesla is working on apparently.
-
Ongoing Improvements: Does Tesla make changes during production to sort out any common issues?
-
Quality Comparison: Anyone who’s switched from a BMW(or similar premium brand) to a Tesla, I’d love to hear about your experience with the build quality. The BMW feels special every time I’m in it, do you get this feeling with your Tesla?
There is so much that I love about Tesla and am 99% sure it’s the car for me, just want to hear some real takes on quality, as with all reviews, the internet seems to be bias towards negative experiences.
Any insights you can share on your experiences, particularly with the recent Tesla models, would be really appreciated!
Many thanks!
