Regina leg from TARCAN1 - Lentils truck, RCMP road block, a physically taxing detour on both sides and a U-Turn all in the heat
I found it so funny that they split this saga over so many segments
When the camera zooms in meaningfully on the word 'infart'
"He looks like a special little Amazing Race gentleman" 💀
We had two seasons of Europe, yet this leg was better than anything we saw in 33 and 34.
And Morgan & Lena as a casting choice is *chef's kiss*
This pitstop greeter this leg hahaha
I like how some of the tasks have been interlinked. Like learning a phrase and then using it in the next task in India. Or catching crabs and then selling them in Malaysia. We got a bit of eat-sleep-mingle too which was fun.
Two KOR legs on the same day, in both TARAU and TARUS. At least there was an elimination on this one.
Don't usually love KOR, but these teams seem like they haven't had much sleep at all - might start seeing killer fatigue earlier than we think
Thought it was going to be a fake-out ending - but devastating elimination :(
Some good tasks including fairly challenging detour for a first leg. But I thought the pacing was a bit slow and it could have been better as a 60min.
Does anyone know if there are C-cable monitors in the Castlereagh St campus (like the ones on Level 3 Fisher, Brennan Maccallum, etc.) where you can use the monitor to extend your laptop display?
They need to bring back the 8 hour Mentos-block from Season 2. An example of a sponsor task that is actually good.
Also way too many spoilers in the intro and ads - need to mute when these are on
Enjoying seeing so much of the world, and I like how it's far less structured and polished than TAR. Also like how it tests a different set of travel skills. But it's far too slow - the editing could be much tighter and the episodes shorter.
-
Season 7: Brian & Greg's car
-
TARAUS2: Lucy and Emilia getting arrested
-
TARCAN2: Pierre and Michel
getting eliminated in France after U-turning Ryan and Rob who also had to overcome a pretty challenging speedbump
This just got me to re-watch that infamous episode. Over a third of the episode was in the airport - and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Did I count right? THREE tasks in a leg of TAR34? Great location and an enjoyable leg.
I quite enjoyed 27. Don't mind superfans who clearly cared a lot about the race and raced hard. There were real stakes for this team - which made the Hong Kong leg one of my favourites.
Would have to add Xunantunich, Belize from TARAU6. The Cenote X'Canché pitstop in Mexico was pretty great too
