Who Are We?
Hashomer Hatzair, also known as ‘Hashy’ amongst the Melbourne Jewish community, is a worldwide Jewish youth movement for kids aged 7 to 18 (school years 3-12).
As a Socialist-Zionist, Secular and Jewish youth movement, our aim is to provide each of our chanichim*ot with a strong sense of their own personal Jewish and Zionist identity, and to encourage chanichim*ot to think critically about the world around them.

Rent Our Hall
The Hall at the Ken is available to rent and is perfect for functions and any types of classes! It is a wide and open space with a full length mirror running across one of the walls, as well as a dance bar on the other.

Peulot
Peulot are held on Sunday at Bet Anielewicz in St Kilda East.
The Junior movement is open to school years 3 - 7. Meetings are held weekly from 2 - 4 PM.
The Senior movement is for school year levels 8 - 12. Meetings are held fortnightly from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
Sunday activities are a great time to socialise, learn and have fun!

Hashy is a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers. We function and rely heavily on donations to enable us to run events, activities, and peulot. Donations contribute to subsidising our camps, making them more accessible to everyone.
