Sharing the lives of orcas with the world

We have been collecting and creating footage of orcas since the 1970s. Paul’s vision has always been to share in the lives of these majestic whales without interfering. We are incredibly fortunate to be situated in prime orca summer habitat, where we can watch them for hours on end from shore.

Our footage is acquired through a network of land-based cameras – operated remotely from the lab – and from our two viewing platforms in Blackney Pass and Johnstone Strait. Over the years, we have had incredible help from many volunteers who have been able to produce some beautiful clips and short films with the footage we acquire
