There’s a million multilayer games that work, why does halo infinite have these problems when they’ve clearly been solved/avoided in other games?

[–]spaceskimo 138 points139 points  (9 children)

Two reasons:

-Their game engine is trash

-The servers they use aren't made for gaming

[–]fupower 12 points13 points  (0 children)

there are not such thing as servers made for gaming lmao, it’s just their poor netcode

[–]MATTH4CK Fan of Kwan 35 points36 points  (3 children)

It's the Slipspace Engine. They haven't fixed it yet. I would be very surprised if they use this engine for Tatanka BR game.

[–]sometimescool 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Microsoft released a statement about the state of Halo and they said future installments will use Unreal Engine.

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 17 points18 points  (2 children)

I see people on here constantly attributing lag/latency/desync issues to the game engine, but I've never seen someone explain how that works. What are some other examples of game engines that caused client to be less efficient at communicating with the server and how does that happen?

I vaguely remember some indie developer wondering why his game was lagging so much online before he realized the game was sending way more information about each clients game state to the server than it needed to. Is the idea that the engine could force something like that?

[–]LAOSnidas 48 points49 points  (0 children)

And they ask 14$ for a coating lmao

[–]snoopyt7 H5 Onyx 176 points177 points  (8 children)

the thing that bothers me about this game is that even on 20 ping i'm still getting killed around corners and behind walls after like half a second. i get that it happens on 100 ping but even on 20 ping it happens constantly.

[–]Ohhellnowhatsupdawg Halo 2 35 points36 points  (6 children)

Not that you have any control over being on 20 ping consistently anyway. This is the only game I play where I'm constantly on 60+ ping whereas every other game I'm on 20.

[–]jbthestone 19 points20 points  (4 children)

They announced that once enough microtransactions are completed, the server should be fixed and the 60 ping will reduce to 20 ping. Check their Twatter for more information.

[–]Neako_the_Neko_Lover ONI 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Best response to that would be no one buy any micro transactions until the servers are fix

[–]King_of_the_pirEnts 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I just stopped playing. If I want to play a game full of bugs I'll play DRG. ROCK AND STONE!!!

[–]WatchYerLumbago Halo: Reach 3 points4 points  (1 child)

ROCK!!! AND!!! STONE!!!

[–]BootyBootyFartFart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get similar ping in infinite as other games. Maybe their server coverage is bad? Seems really weird though given the availability of azure servers.

[–]MaethrilliansFate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The cartoon visual of a bullet stopping and turning around the corner always comes to mind lol. Its really bad how common it is to the point ducking behind cover is less effective than just straight running towards your enemy

[–]Imaybetoooldforthis 135 points136 points  (2 children)

I’m frustrated before I even get into the match.

My video and accessibility settings keep resetting every time I open the game, and as quick resume doesn’t work that’s every time I play. Plus it wants me to watch the cutscenes for the season, every god damn time.

[–]MATTH4CK Fan of Kwan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well we have to wait at least one more week because they drop updates only on tuesday (IDK why? are they afraid to break challenges?) and I am sure update is not coming on this tuesday because they haven't figured out what causes this bug.

[–]SpliterInYourMind 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m glad OP posted this. It convinced me not to download it again. This is exactly the stuff that drove me away. I was ready to make this my “forever game” but the game is just broken.

[–]TheAlphaDeathclaw 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Yup, feels like the game itself is a bigger threat than the opposing team

[–]TheChadStevens 474 points475 points  (40 children)

It's amazing how we had a perfectly working halo multiplayer for almost 20 years, and now they can't even make a playable game.

[–]kerrysluis 123 points124 points  (38 children)

If you think halo 2 was perfect you are wearing rose tinted glasses

[–]Elfishlance 198 points199 points  (11 children)

Very. Take me back all the same

[–]una322 68 points69 points  (10 children)

i dunno about that, h2 on lan was amazing. Onllne ? no it was awful. Full of cheaters , lag switches, people glitching out the map for oddball ext. balance issues, hit box issues, BRs having huge spread for years. a poor ranking system that if you didn't max out early then u were hard stuck.

[–]AmanitaMuscaria 18 points19 points  (5 children)

Everything you said was on point expect for that last bit about ranking, pretty sure that’s how 3’s ranking system was. I got stuck at 49 on 3 and couldn’t break that cap. In 2 I was constantly going up and down (highest ranking was 36) and it never seemed to get stuck at a certain level like in 3.

[–]Master_of_RivendellMake Halo Great Again 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skill locked at 46 in both Doubles and Lone Wolf. Good times.

[–]XboxVictim 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Halo 3 was insanely easy to get 50s compared to Halo 2. I remember I didn’t play for the first couple weeks it was out because I had a H2 tournament to go to and didn’t want to distract myself. So the after the tournament I hop on H3 and my buddies were like “yeah you can’t play with us we’re lvl 40s and don’t wanna de-rank”

So I played alone and got to 50 before all of em 😂

[–]Slightly_Shrewd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol for real H3 was easy peasy. I remember flying up multiple levels per game until the 40ish range.

[–]AmanitaMuscaria -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You couldn’t get to 50 in Halo 2 unless you were cheating, so yeah Halo 3 was a lot easier.

[–]XboxVictim 5 points6 points  (2 children)

BR spread got updated in a year or less for the first major title update, not multiple years.

Ranking system only sucked because of cheaters. I don’t know if anyone who got higher than around 34-36 without some form of cheating. But that just meant being in the upper 30s carried more weight. If you saw someone with a legit 36 then they were an absolute killer. Any higher than that and you’d hear the addendum “well I only bridge host to AVOID cheaters.” Ah yes. Cheating to avoid the cheaters. Sure.

Still, it was an absolute blast. Partly because that was THE game to play at the time and XboxLive in general was waaaaaay more social. At any given moment I’d have 30+ friends online playing Halo and they all had mics.

[–]una322 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

i got to 48 without cheating, but once ur around 45 it was cheat city.

but yes dispite all those issues the game was still great, but lets not forget those issues either, it was far from perfect.

[–]Slightly_Shrewd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My man, cheat city started right around level 29-31 lol from there on it was at least a 50% chance you’d go against a cheater. Once you hit the “cool” ranks of 37+ it was more like an 80% chance to face cheaters.

Source: Was a “legit” 44 (stopped there cus I didn’t like the symbols lol). By “legit”, I mean we either only played host boxes or occasionally bridged host. Never modded or standbyed.

[–]explodedbagel 58 points59 points  (14 children)

Nope, sorry. Halo 2 did not have regular problems like what is depicted in this video, despite being made in a time where it relied on much slower p2p internet hosting and was basically having to trailblaze the path for console multiplayer shooters.

The only time you were guaranteed to see moments like in this video in halo 2 was when someone cheated and pulled the standby modem trick. With infinite, nearly every player has problems like this on the regular… regardless of their internet quality, since the day it launched. Halo 2 wouldn’t have been so wildly popular if it was a constant unreliable mess like that.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (13 children)

It's funny because as someone who grew up on CE, 2 & 3 (and who now only occasionally visits this sub to vicariously enjoy halo because I don't have time to play myself anymore)) this video just looks like lag to me, which was extremely common for halo 2 and 3. It was frustrating but people just got on with it.

I mean, the bungie forums used to be flooded with halo 3 theatre clips showing players apparently surviving sniper headshots. 'omg halo is so broken, fix your net code/hit registration/player models/etc'

I'm not really sure I understand the specific problems of desync and how they differ from lag. I suppose lag must be significantly less common now that everyone has much better internet connections, and this is something else.

[–]KalbelgarionGrifballHub 13 points14 points  (6 children)

I was about to post the exact same thing. Fifteen years ago we just called this lag. Either you raged about it and got a heart condition, or you just learned to accept it. You might as well complain about the weather.

[–]Slightly_Shrewd 0 points1 point  (5 children)

OG who played probably 10k games of H2 and more in H3… from Hawaii.

This is literally just lag. These types of interactions happen to me constantly across many games lol it ain’t just Halo.

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 4 points5 points  (1 child)

The funny thing is, even if the issue here is caused by what a lot of this sub claims it is--a fundamental problem with the game engine that causes info to not get sent to the server quickly enough--it would still be perfectly fine to call it lag.

And either way, I've definitely experienced identical shit to these clips in other games where it was clearly caused by someone having 300 ping. So I'm skeptical of anyone saying it can't be lag.

[–]Slightly_Shrewd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s literally lag. It’s the way they prioritize client side inputs so a larger latency between players results in weird, frustrating interactions.

People have latched onto the buzz word “desync” which the vast majority of issues people claim is desync, is simply lag.

So, you’re definitely right.

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 0 points1 point  (5 children)

The video is just lag. The question is whether there's some problem with halo infinite that causes there to be more lag or not compensate for lag effectively. I don't know how to answer that question. All we know is, there are a lot of people who come to this sub and say they experience more lag in halo than in other games. They usually call it desync on here and you'll see people phrase it in a way to make it sound like its something different from lag but it's all lag in a sense.

[–]Slightly_Shrewd 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The problem is the Azure servers which aren’t necessarily meant for gaming lol

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Siege also uses Azure servers. Do people have issues in that game?

[–]ThePoultryWhisperer -1 points0 points  (1 child)

It’s not lag. You either don’t know what the problem is or you’ve never played. Lag manifests differently.

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, regardless of what you want to call it, I've played plenty of CS matches over the past 20 years where this exact same shit happened, shooting at someone, doing no damage, then watching them or me skip around the map etc. And it always happened when someone had high latency or packet loss.

All of this stuff is caused by the server getting less than ideal info from clients (e.g., delayed info or incomplete info) and failing to make it line up. Sometimes that's more a problem with the info the clients are sending, sometimes its shitty servers, sometimes it's a bad lag compensation system. Regardless, we've called this umbrella of problems "lag" for forever. It's fine to use a more specific term if you think you know the exact source of the problem tho.

[–]TheChadStevens 33 points34 points  (1 child)

I don't remember ever having had issues with Halo 2. I must've been having too much fun to notice if there were any

[–]Professional-Tea-998 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There most definitely was issues at launch, it's just that alot of them got patched relatively quickly in updates, but the game definitely had it's fair share of annoying janky cause the game was rushed out the door

[–]CaptainTurkeyBreast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay what issues are you talking about i played halo 2 on the orginal xbox live on the first xbox live service only issue was the player hosting

[–]shratchasauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember the blue screens and people stand by- ing and my unregulated ADHD rage

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 9 points10 points  (4 children)

Even Halo 3. People's internet was much slower in 2007 and I encountered laggy players in BTB plenty often.

[–]SuperBAMF007 Halo 5: Guardians 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I don’t even remember whether or not H3 was peer to peer? Or if it was dedicated servers. I know COD did. I feel like peer to peer had way more lag, but less overall issues… But maybe that’s just a rose tinted glasses lol

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Halo 3 didn't have dedicated servers, which is worse on average for games with more than 2 players.

[–]XBacklash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And in the current season vehicles are rarely in matches and when they are the headlights blind both the driver and gunner.

[–]Grouchy_Meeting_7753 119 points120 points  (8 children)

Rockets and gravity hammer are the worst they have been in any Halo game. It’s so frustrating and disappointing. Kills my motivation to play. I used to play Halo games for hours on end. Just match after match. Now I’m lucky to play three games without some game breaking shit happening or intense lag that only seems to affect me. Also what the fuck was that skewer shot damn. That one seemed like the worst to me. Dude was standing still smh

[–]XBacklash 32 points33 points  (6 children)

The hammer swings but no boom. You get the boom but there's no effect. Hit someone in the face with the rocket and they walk through the exploration to boop you. Try to fire the rocket and there's no rocket. Fire the grapple and it *fails to stick.

Those happen more often than anything and it's so fucking frustrating. Even worse than the guy teleporting behind me and hitting me on the head.

6gb 2ms connection. It's not on my end.

[–]Sarisforin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Don't forget a direct hit with a rocket only pops an enemy's shields. But if an enemy's rocket blows up on the other side of the map you'd better believe you're dead.

[–]tasteslikeblackmilk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Season 3 I turned off the expanded matchmaking so I only get low ping ~20ms lobbies. This video sums up my shitty experience nicely.

[–]LordMagnus227 69 points70 points  (1 child)

Shot through a wall! And iratus to blame. Darling, you give halo a bad name.

[–]alcalcalcalcalca 204 points205 points  (11 children)

Let’s face it, they can’t fix this game.

[–]Galactic_Obama_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They don't even WANT to.

[–]RReprah 228 points229 points  (52 children)

I browse this subreddit sometimes when Im thinking of reinstalling Infinite to see if its gotten any better... yeah I guess fucking not. This looks almost as bad as playing Counter-Strike: Source on European servers at 4AM. Thanks for saving me the time and bandwidth.

[–]YodaisTHICCaf Platinum Corporal[S] 89 points90 points  (11 children)

Yeah the networking/desync has actually gotten worse for a lot of us in Season 3. Apparently some people don't experience this stuff but yeah honestly it is abysmal a lot of times and my friend and I experience networking issues at least once EVERY game.

[–]Shadowspartan110 40 points41 points  (1 child)

The desync patch somehow made it worse for me. I used to not get any desync issues at all but now I get them semi frequently and I am upsetti.

[–]Mewacy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If I had a nickel for every desync patch they dropped that caused even more desync, I’d buy a better game

[–]Demented-Turtle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you wired? I don't think it even makes a difference because I get this same shit on ethernet with 20 ping lol, I tried wifi and it was the same as well

[–]Hexbox116 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lmao I have a friend that says he never ever has desync and that it has to just be our internet. I'm like dude I have like 250 down and like 15 ms ping and no other game on any of my systems lag like that besides halo infinite.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I experience this at random

Like some days i'll have no issues but issues with hit reg

Then other days i'll experience the whole host of events from hit reg, vehicle desync, random launches into random shit for no reason whatsoever

[–]maxenmajs 5 points6 points  (1 child)

For me it's gotten better, the worst I've experienced this season is getting shot a fraction of a second after getting into cover.

If I were to guess, the majority of players do not have ad many issues as OP, but the ones that do post about it more. Or not, I could be entirely wrong.

[–]Bayne-the-Wild-Heart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think most people who experience this shit have just stopped playing honestly. I’m one of em.

[–]Mechanickel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely experience desync and I feel really sad for everyone because the game feels really nice not experiencing these things all the time.

[–]Electronic_Pie_8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began playing again towards the end of season 2. Stuff finally worked. But I am too seeing more and more desync-related issues since S3.

[–]Banana-Oni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So much this, and I still get people on here telling me it’s my internet connection when this is literally the only online game that I have issues with

[–]JAM3SBND -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can I ask you a genuine question?

Why do you even bother playing this? I'd literally rather play nothing than contend with and support this.

[–]thepr0cess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really don't have any desync issues, it definitely was a lot worse for me last season. Seems it is case by case for each player.

[–]TK503 7 points8 points  (3 children)

ive never had this happen to me. that said, i have 900MBPS download speed internet (way more than enough) and living in a high population part of the US.

OP did not specify where he is from or what internet speed he is using. I would just install the game and see for yourself

[–]pjb1999 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Same here. 1GB wired connection, northeast US. In the hundreds of hours I've played I don't think I've ever experienced anything as bad as what's in this video.

[–]TK503 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Maybe the morale of the story is you can't have shitty internet and expect to have good connection

[–]BootyBootyFartFart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I don't ever have any major latency issues. Just a few encounters with laggy players in BTB this season. No one in my friend group has issues either. That's not to say there's not an issue, just that if you're thinking about checking the game out again, the clips you see posted on this sub may not be what you experience.

[–]BuiltToMouse 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Same, I’ve been thinking of giving Infinite a chance again but if the game is still in this sorry state then why even bother

[–]TK503 5 points6 points  (3 children)

ive never had this happen to me. that said, i have 900MBPS download speed internet (way more than enough) and living in a high population part of the US.

[–]TheHancock Halo: Reach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah same! The other day I thought “ya know, why not. It’s free” and then this. Nope, save me the time and frustration.

[–]pjb1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played hundreds of hours since launch and I've never experienced anything as bad as most of this video. I really wouldn't judge the game by just this video.

[–]kerrysluis -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Or just try it for yourself? It's been great for me

[–][deleted] 39 points40 points  (1 child)

343 ruined Halo

[–]DoomPurveyor Halo: CE 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That happened over a decade ago. They're fucking Halo's corpse at this point.

[–]Sbarjai 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Funniest thing is people blaming this shit on high ping while you just sit there and look at your 500mb/s internet plan with an Ethernet cable for no packet loss.

“High ping, yeah…”

[–]needconfirmation 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Remember, halo infinite's netcode favors the shooter!

Just not necessarily you, or the person shooting you, or even anyone shooting anywhere in your match, but someone, somewhere is probably being favored, sometimes

[–]Redrar00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Genuinely surprised people play this anymore

[–]keiching2002 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So I’m not the only one getting randomly killed inside the Wraith while the hatch is still attached.

[–]NightCurrent836 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For a moment I thought that 343 only cursed me, but I see that the same thing happens to you too

[–]Demented-Turtle 18 points19 points  (3 children)

Most of these clips you had a legit good ping too. I think 2 clips you had like 200ms, so I'd discount those, but overall desync is horrible even on a good connection. I have my own 2 minute clip I might upload soon of some very similar situations. Sniper headshots not counting, watching hit markers fail to appear, back smacks and melees not registering, BR burst perfectly in the head of someone with no shields not killing them, on and on... All with around a 20ms ping on ethernet with fast speeds, and mostly playing during off-times like 3-5 pm

[–]Rufflies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this has been my experience with Infinite since day one, but it has definitely gotten worse with S3.

[–]VinnyHawGrifballHub 12 points13 points  (4 children)

Wait this game is still on season 3??

[–]OneFinalEffort"There is still time to stop the key from turning" 19 points20 points  (3 children)

Season 3 only started last month.

[–]VinnyHawGrifballHub 6 points7 points  (2 children)

[–]WiggulsBasically Onyx in Tactical Manglers 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Season 2 was until november, then we had season 2.5 in the shape of "Winter Update" from November to March.

[–]hantar7788 Halo: CE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That Nukes Top5 voice got me good:)

[–]Murky-Lawfulness4891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]andrefelipe1295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"It must be you dude i never experienced this desync in my life" gang about to come to the comment section...

[–]BushMasterFlex616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, so this game is still not worth installing. Thank you

[–]DeezleDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So glad I quit playing this garbage after season 2.

[–]Vokun_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

US or EU?

I am from EU and I quit this terrible fucking game shortly after launch because of shit like this happening pretty much every match. I returned for a short time 8 months after launch to see if the game was better after all the patches but it was still fucking broken so I just gave up on it.

[–]WhichOnesPink6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly why I don’t play competitive in this game. My tolerance for this is non existent when there’s stakes and every play matters. Getting killed in comp when you’ve turned the corner ages ago is a different level of rage.

[–]Doktor_Obvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i had a nickle for every time people showed me how broken this game is in a way i never experienced myself id be able to buy out twitter

[–]Matias_RGT HaloRuns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's why we play MCC

[–]reddit_sage69 Halo 5: Guardians 5 points6 points  (1 child)

At this point, I can't tell if I really suck, if this game really sucks, or both. There are definitely games where it's felt so crisp but other times I can't finish a fucking kill.

[–]Legaato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the game. I had the same thought until I played three slayer games in a row and went 25-5 in one game with 20 ping, then 4-16 with 55 ping the very next game, then 19-6 with 65 ping the next.

Midwest servers are SO much worse for me than even east coast servers, even though the ping is better. Even 20 ping feels like shit sometimes.

[–]McThunderClap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Working as intended. At what point does 343 hand over Halo back to bungie like “we’re done with this, thanks” with tears in their eyes.

[–]AxelTab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow this game is dogshit lol

[–]King-GojiraA Monument To All Your Sins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HALO IS BACK

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've given up at this point. Season 3 is the most broken the game has ever been and I'm just so over it. It's saying something when Battlefield 2042 is a preferable experience.

[–]MaceTheMindSculptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This video is extremely funny

But why do you keep playing?

[–]Clyde-MacTavish Halo: Reach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No wonder nobody plays this anymore

[–]Eskalacja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sadly it happens to me as well, not always to this degree, but desync is pretty consistent - this is literally only mp game in which I encounter such strange network behaviour..

[–]ItsMeSpooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have bad lag and blame it on the game. What I have played of season 3 I have not had any of these issues.

[–]DraconicZombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good portion of this was just lag, not desync. I saw the desync in there, but there was also the lag. Bad combo.

[–]Maxymous H5 Diamond 5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha love the Nuke's Top 5 crossover. How sad is a false hammer swing. It's like the weapon manufacturers in the game let defective weapons leave the factory 🤣

[–]Greedy-Figure6574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright. The dancing at the end killed me

This game is infuriating and this sums it up nicely, if it wasn’t so shit, it would be brilliant!

[–]Icewaterbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Halo fan who lives in Korea, I experienced this every day since season 1.

Average ranked match in Korea- Packet loss + 250ms + Stuttering= Maximum suffering

[–]Patriot-117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God if they could figure out the networking issues with this game it could be top tier. I have a bad feeling though that Microsoft’s servers and Halo Infinite’s engine just can’t do it though. Like there’s no way they haven’t fixed it by now, it must be impossible.

[–]theJEFFwithin65 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They had this game in decent shape. S3 update messed it all up.

[–]YodaisTHICCaf Platinum Corporal[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yep I agree. Near the end of season 2, the networking was actually decent and I could manage 250ms lobbies. Now they're borderline unplayable

[–]theJEFFwithin65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What hurts the worst is melee to someone’s back doesn’t kill them most times now. Even when they are glowing. Or someone’s glowing I whole clip them and I get two shot by him somehow. It has to be fixed.

[–]CoyerCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel really bad for all the people who have had horrible connection experiences. I'm in Michigan, and it's been pretty much perfect for me since release. Yes, every once in a while, I get disconnected or desync, and I've had a few laggy games, but 99% of the time, it runs great. I don't know why it's worse for some people than others.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So why are you still trying to play? I gave up on it. There’s too many other games to spend hours frustrated at this.

But yet people keep playing, I don’t get it.

[–]jamesmess 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I still get killed behind walls and cover. Drives me crazy cuz I think I’m good and then drop dead

[–]joe_jee Halo.Bungie.Org 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game still stinks.

[–]The_Vens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has definitely gotten worse with season 3. Struggling to enjoy recently.

[–]spaceskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kudos to you for actually clipping everything and editing it together. I always say I'm gonna do it but I'm way too lazy.

...and yeah this is why I haven't touched Infinite in about 3 weeks now. I realized playing it was making me frustrated more than having fun.

Happens to the best of us

[–]Thewanderer1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your internet is trash buddy

[–]TheWerbinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has never happened to me and my internet is dogshit, where do you live, the Himalayas?

[–]ZookeepergameDue8501 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yeah after pouring 400 hours into this game, I just can't justify it anymore. I uninstalled last night. I will be going back to MCC. Unfortunately, MCC has its own problems as well. Got booted last night for betraying my team when I did absolutely no such thing. Then I was banned for about 20 minutes.

[–]Legaato 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I stopped playing MCC when Infinite came out and just went back to it after about a year of not playing. The main thing I noticed is that there are a lot of cheaters now, at least in Halo CE.

[–]Diabolical_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And people will still turn around and defend 343 after seeing this. This is the state of Halo Infinite two and a half years later. I wish everyone would just do what's best for Halo and boycott the game until the franchise is ripped away from 343 and given to a company that will actually treat us and Halo right.

[–]EsotericQuasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, Like your video is irrefutable proof that these issues exist.

BUT for whatever reason I NEVER have any of these sort of issues while playing. On rare occasion I get the dedicated host issue and booted to menu but that’s about it.

[–]Meneer-UYL Reality Check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow seems like you are suffering from massive lag somehow. Ive never experienced anything like this. I very rarely get kicked but thats about everything thats ever happened on my end.

Maybe the servers arent well in your region? Cant imagine this is caused by your internet considering how low internet requirements are for good online gaming.

Do you know what it is causing the lag for you?

[–]SuperBAMF007 Halo 5: Guardians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I haven’t had any issues like this. Not to the point that I remember them after they happened. And definitely not so bad that I got pissed off about it, I usually just chalk it up to “damn, I have no idea where that came from, oh well, let’s get back to it” lmao

[–]YairMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahhh damn your connection is trash xD

[–]silverlance360 1 point2 points  (1 child)

During these ‘fail’ moments your ping has huge spike.. see the sword incident at 3:00 (reverse countdown)

[–]Altsan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I play a lot of halo infinite and never have anything this bad happen on a regular occasion. Could it be possible that this is an internal network issue? My ping is usually right at that 40-50ms over Ethernet cable and I don't see these issues often. Or maybe I just don't notice it, who knows.

[–]HuskerGamer402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Halo Infinite series X, and I think I haven’t touched Infinite since before the first season ended. I just can’t bring myself to be put through the stress of an inferior and broken halo game. So sad

[–]AutumnalOceans -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The first 2 minutes were genuine desync issues but most of the last minute were genuine skill issues, probably misunderstood to have been desync bc at that point OP was pissed tf off and I would have been too

[–]GoldenGoat1997 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Yikes, I hadnt played in a while. How long have you been playing S3, want to know the number of glithes per minute lol

[–]DisasterWolf76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Players have had s3 for a month now, and these issues have been rampant since day 1.

[–]I_JustWork_Here -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The potato internet strikes again

[–]JellybeanJetpack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've crashed like twice but that is the only issue I've had in S3

[–]WarProgenitor ONI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for suffering this experience, so I can learn from your pain rather than my own.
