I had a 2018 model 3 standard range with full self driving. Parking sensors were fantastic, windshield wipers worked great. Only time I had issues was in extreme rain or snow. Everything you'd expect from a 40k+ car. Fast forward to 2023, and I decided to trade in my model 3 to get the model Y. Parking sensors? Barely work, accuracy is completely off. Windshield wipers on "auto" mode? 2/3 times doesn't work. Even worse, a little bit of rain makes everything dysfunctional.
It just surprises me that Elon of all people gave the go-ahead to put something into production that frankly sucks, to save...a couple hundred bucks in sensors at most? I would've gladly payed $500 more on a $50,000 car to have sensors that give the car basic working functionality. If anything they should've just tested these things while keeping the sensors in the car. Putting something into production that makes the car exponentially worse is just unbelievable to me, especially from Tesla of all companies. Furthermore, how do they expect any of these things to work in the future with rain/snow? It has to be one of the stupidest decisions they could have ever made.
I was looking at Tesla's and noticed there are no local to Buffalo dealers/service centers. The nearest one to do a demo drive is Henrietta and that also appears to be the closest service center.
So for people in Buffalo that own Tesla's, how reliable are they , and what happens when it breaks? Do you have to somehow get it out to Henrietta all the time? How many times a year are you having to make that trip?

Tesla verkaufen ist schwierig?
Versuche gerade meinen Tesla Model3P, Baujahr 10/2020 (also Chrome/keine Wärmepumpe, 70.000km Laufleistung) zu verkaufen.

For months now I’ve been torn between buying a Model Y and buying one of Hyundai’s Ioniq models. Today I pulled the trigger and bought my first EV, an Ioniq 6 SEL. Overall I just felt like I was getting more car for the same price. I’m absolutely blown away at how much Hyundai has turned their brand around compared to 5 years ago. The 5 year 60k mile bumper to bumper and the 10/100k battery with two years free charging and 3 years free maintenance is what ultimately sold me. But dang if those Tesla seats aren’t the most comfortable things in the world.
Tesla bull making the rare appearance into enemy territory lol. I hate how this simp hypocritically changes his stance more than a politician. It makes us tesla bulls look bad.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that Tesla models' dipped beam is far too bright/ beam always point into your eyes? Each time I see LED headlights coming towards me that seem overly bright 8/10 times it's a Tesla model. Anyone else notice this trend?
2021, I leased a Bolt LT. I got a good deal for my lease. About $7k for a 3 year/36kmi lease. I then flipped that into a 2023 Bolt EUV Premier w/ S&S due to the battery fiasco. I timed things right and ended up $4700 on top of that because of my state's lemon law to pay back the difference in value between the LT and EUV. I've had my EUV for about 14 months now. No real problems. It's a fine car. I can buy out the lease for around $20.5k, making the all in purchase price around $24k.
With that said, I never really wanted a Bolt. I generally prefer driving slightly more sporty cars. I've grown accustomed to driving in and in many ways like the features the EUV offers. It's a car I would recommend to most people as it's an excellent value. I also mostly drive locally and very rarely need to use DCFC. Android Auto works great. The 3D cameras are nice. Generally speaking, it's a fairly comfortable car to drive. I have no real major complaints about the car.
Getting to the point, I decided to order a M3RWD last week and got a very good deal. It works out to $27,200 including everything, OTD. Doesn't include the equity in the Bolt I can access which further drops the price to about $25k. I can walk away from the deal on Monday too and I'd be out $250.
I have a bit of a soft spot for the Model 3. I like the body style, efficiency, and charging network. The drive is much more sporty. The power is more fun. It's definitely more of a drivers car, but is also a bit of a rough ride and a bit noisy, which I know can get annoying at times from past experiences. While DCFC isn't super important to me, I like the option of having 2023 charging speeds and direct access to the best charging network while the Bolt has 2017 charging tech.
With that said, I do not like Musk or Tesla Fanbois. I'm not in love with the one screen approach. The lack of buttons doesn't bother me much but the lack of a "dash" is a bit weird as I like to monitor things as I drive. I'm also finding reasons to get annoyed by the lack of Android Auto, for example, to use free Spotify, I have to run it through my phone via bluetooth, which just seems stupid, but not necessarily a deal breaker.
I'm looking for feedback from people who have experienced both and their overall feel. I'm genuinely on the fence and could go either way.
