I grew up on a horse stud. We agisted and bred racehorses. To have the mare loose with the stallion, not even having her harnessed, is so unbelievably fucking stupid. They just let a mare kill their golden goose. They're lucky none of the people got hurt.

We at the very least had them tethers. Usually we'd do a stall, or better yet, AI them.

It looks like some sort of Asparagoideae. It's dead or very close to it I'm afraid.

If it's in a plastic pot inside that metal one you could try giving it a good deep soak, letting it drain and seeing if there's any sign of life, but to me it looks dead.
