He's probably qualified given that we've come full circle with Twitter spaces and are just back at a radio show. Couple hosts with listeners "calling in". It's so stupid

How corporations in Utah rental market drive up cost of living by InvestiNate in SaltLakeCity

[–]peanutbutterfly 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I was charged a $20 fee monthly to access the "portal" to set up my payment to the property management company. Along with a bunch of other fees that added about $100 to my rent each month. Renters definitely need alot more protection from what is essentially extortion.

I spoke with chat support first. Ran them through the issue then they initiated the RMA process

Probably other ways to do it but that's how mine worked

Worth contacting them, I'll be surprised if you don't get a replacement unit

I had a 2017 Shield I'd owned for 4 years, moved country and lost the receipt. They replaced it for me after I had issues following an update. Only question they asked was if I could remember the retailer I purchased it from

Servers going offline?? by Slam_Metal_4_Life in PrivateInternetAccess

Qbittorent and yes it was bound to eth0. However I'm on Ubuntu so I'm not sure if it works the same as windows

I'm pretty sure I figured out my issue though, I had a power surge and my Ubuntu server connects to the internet and spins up the docker containers before the desktop is loaded. I use the PIA app on Ubuntu desktop which loads and activates the kill switch AFTER the desktop gui is loaded. So the torrent connection is active for a minute before PIA starts working 😭

And to top it off I exposed myself for another potential copyright notice while I was trying to figure this out 🤦

Did you figure this out? I had the same issue recently on a dedicated Ubuntu server that has the PIA app installed with kill switch active

TP-Link AXE5400 router doesn't have PoE so you need to buy a PoE+ adapter in order to power your USW-Flex

[–]peanutbutterfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The USW-Flex needs power, that can either come from the switch (if it is capable) or from a wall socket (via a PoE injector). This is the first step for your troubleshooting.

In the most basic terms, you need the lights on your USW-Flex to start flashing before you can move on. Look for a port on your switch or router marked PoE+ and plug it into your USW-Flex input port (far left). If you don't have a PoE+ port on your switch or router you will need to buy a PoE+ 30W Adapter

How are you powering the USW-Flex? PoE switch or PoE injector?
