It liquidates instantly at market value (via limit order), so it's easy. Buying on CS is the hard part. Liquidation has a fee on CS, though.
The benefits of DRS is that your shares are protected, no broker shenanigans lending out your shares (legally or illegally) and then perhaps defaulting on you when the short sellers can't pay up or return. But it does make it easier to liquidate at a broker.
DRS is like a safe deposit box. Whatever you DRS, you will most likely not want to sell. Keep what you want to sell, what you are willing to lose should MOASS and subsequent broker shenanigans occur, at a broker.
