Now that we have reached this critical phase in this bear market and support levels could be broken at any time, let's make our predictions. There are different scenarios about what could go bad. My personal opinion doesn't matter, I just want to buy cheap and I would like to see if the sentiment is still bullish or not.
Which of the following do you think will happen first?
- Ripple loses against SEC
- Mt Gox Bitcoin get released
- Tether going down
- Binance going down
- shut the fck up Binance is fine
- Nuclear Armageddon, bye crypto
- other (comment): nothing, we will be fine, Saylor gets liquidated, Satoshi rugs us, aliens reach earth with quantum ultracomputers and hack bitcoin in less than a minute, else

Dragon's Crossing is interested in doing an AMA about:
Dragon's Crossing is an upcoming Web3, old-school rogue-like card-based RPG launching on the Arbitrum blockchain. We were features on the premier episode of the "Fomo or Pass" show hosted by George from CryptosRUs and Brian Evans. Not to spoil the video if you haven't seen it, but Brian voted FOMO for the Dragon's Crossing Genesis hero mint. The mint for the project is this upcoming Saturday on May 27, 2023, with full gameplay launching on May 31, 2023. As part of the launch, we wanted to offer 50 whitelist spots to users of the r/cryptocurrency subreddit. A whitelist entitles a user to a 50% discount off of the mint if they are one of the first 300 Whitelist minters. Currently there are approximately 275 whitelist codes registered in discord.
More details about the mint can be found on our website: https://www.dragonscrossing.com/mint and in our discord at https://discord.gg/dragonscrossing. Each whitelist equals a $150 discount off of the genesis hero mint.
r/cc users will only need to join the discord and open a ticket with our mods to receive their whitelist code. Our whitelist bot is run through a discord bot, so joining the discord server is the only way to register your whitelist code.

Keystone Hardware is interested in doing an AMA about:
Good afternoon r/CryptoCurrency community,
We've recently seen a substantial number of discussions regarding the "Ledger Recovery" saga, and we felt compelled to bring some clarity to the situation, which we believe is essential for our shared digital future.
The key points we will explore are:
1) The Current State of Ledger Security: In light of the recent events, there is an understandable wave of concern about whether it is still safe to use Ledger hardware wallets. We will delve into the latest updates, reviewing the steps Ledger has taken to address these issues and whether they suffice in maintaining the trust of the crypto community.
2) Understanding Secure Elements: We will deep dive into how secure elements work. By exploring the technology that underpins our hardware wallets, we can better understand and appreciate the layers of protection they offer against potential threats.
3) The Strength of QR Codes vs USB Signing: We will evaluate why QR codes are emerging as a more secure method of transaction authorization compared to traditional USB signing.
It's time to understand the technology we trust and identify the best methods to secure your crypto holdings.

Cryptex Finance Introduces Cryptex V2 - Trade the Entire Crypto Market Cap with up to 20x leverage!
Hello everyone!
We are [u/JoeCryptex](https://www.reddit.com/user/JoeCryptex) and **[u/tommatz](https://www.reddit.com/user/tommatz/)\*\*, the co-founders behind Cryptex Finance, a multi-network DeFi protocol that aims to make crypto-native markets tradable.
At 11 am EST, we will be hosting an AMA to answer any questions you have about Cryptex V2, its features, our partnerships, or anything else related to our project! So, feel free to ask away, and let's dive into the exciting world of decentralized perpetual markets!
### About Cryptex
Founded in April 2021, Cryptex Finance was created with the mission of leading the way for a more accessible, secure, and transparent financial future.
We started with the tokenization of TCAP, the world's first total crypto market cap token, and have since expanded our offerings with JPEGz, an NFT Blue-Chip Index token. We worked together with Chainlink to create highly accurate custom price oracles, and real-time market prices for the tokens we track, ensuring maximum precision in price determination through custom price oracles.
Now, we're taking it a step further by introducing Cryptex V2, a groundbreaking platform featuring decentralized perpetual markets that allow users to long or short TCAP and eventually JPEGz with up to 20x leverage! This platform has been developed in collaboration with [Perennial Labs,](https://perennial.finance/) leveraging their on-chain decentralized leverage perpetual system to offer a secure and trustless way to trade in these unique markets.
Additionally, we're thrilled to announce that Cryptex V2's decentralized perpetual markets will be launched exclusively on the Arbitrum platform, as part of our long-standing partnership.

Issue
Increasing popularity in Moons and activity on the sub has led to prolific cultural issues with downvoting.
The downvoting is most visible on new posts and the daily, in some cases every comment on a post is voted into negative karma.
This is often corrected as posts go ‘hot’ and get more exposure, but users are suffering unreasonable karma loss from malicious actors.
Ultimately, the karma multiplier in CCIP-001 exacerbates this issue as negative karma is amplified.
Users have suggested removing the downvote button, but I don’t agree. It’s not a functional issue, and there is genuine use cases for the button. It’s a behavioural issue.
Proposal
Amend CCIP-001 to remove the negative karma multiplier to mitigate loss due to serial downvoting.
This amendment means, if successful, comments with positive karma would continue to receive a 2x multiplier, while comments with negative karma would not.
For example: a comment with +3 karma at snapshot would result in a +6 distribution, but a comment with -3 karma would remain as -3.
The change would best be represented by the formula: final_comment_karma = max(comment_karma, 2*comment_karma)
Pros: The change would go some way in preserving karma distribution for users being unfairly targeted by malicious actors.
Cons: There is a small risk a threshold change may reinforce negative behaviour and further drive negative karma if more people behave that way or create more accounts to abuse the system. So, instead of losing a small amount of karma each time, the loss could be amplified.
Special thanks: I’d like to add a special thank you to u/OminousAnemone for supporting the development of this proposal.

Proposal by: u/CryptoScamee42069
With all the usual discussions about mass adoption, I started to wonder how many people here have actually made use of crypto to buy something (or accepted it as payment), instead of just swapping from one crypto to another to buy more coins or NFTs, or pay gas fees.
So, where do you stand? Have you gotten a pizza or something with crypto, are you just getting coins and NFTs and moving them around exchanges and personal wallets, until an eventual cash out in fiat?
Judging by the comments here it seems that while we praise countries like Venezuela where they are trying to get BTC usable in real life, in most cases we are just getting and holding crypto with the goal of earning fiat value.
AESIR is interested in doing an AMA about:
Hello everyone and thanks a lot for having us again!
I'm super excited to say that we've finally released this thing and it's been a real journey.
AESIR is an algorithmic cryptocurrency trading platform, that allows you to automate your trading strategy.
All of us at AESIR met through /r/cryptocurrency in March 2021 and we've been working on this project ever since. Thank you everyone for all the incredible discussions around algorithmic trading, and we're happy to say that the tool is in large part based on all the things that you guys wanted to see in an app like this.
Meeting on reddit and building a startup together has its own set of challenges, such overcoming the trust barrier. You have to pool funds together and share sensitive information with each other, but I'm happy to report that nobody ran away with these! So yeah, we're happy to answer any questions you may have on this and AESIR in general.
Another big part of this is AMA is talking about algorithmic trading, and educating people about what it is and what it isn't. A lot of people believe that it's some kind of magic money making machine and that's simply not true. We wanted to host this AMA to inform people about algorithmic trading, what to expect out of it, and how to use these tools.
Let's get it started!

MoneroTopia Conference AMA & Virtual Conf Ticket Giveaway
MoneroTopia Conference Brings Together Privacy Advocates, Cypherpunks, and Agorists to Discuss the Future of Digital Cash. Bitcoin was the first attempt at creating a decentralized peer to peer digital cash system, but given its fundamentally transparent ledger, the State in concert with the chain analysis CO’s, is working toward transforming it into a tool for mass surveillance, as opposed to being utility for free speech money.
With the rise of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), the impending elimination of traditional cash, and the increasing threat to financial privacy, it is more important than ever to unite and build out a true digital cash utility that will preserve our liberty in the digital age. This is where Monero comes in - it is an unstoppable and untraceable digital cash that is gaining adoption toward achieving this goal.
The conference will feature talks from Monero developers, contributors, and other privacy tech projects, cypherpunks, agorists, and free speech advocates. The lineup includes Monero Devs Koe and Luke Parker, Andrey Sabelnikov who developed the first implementation of Cryptonote — the protocol behind Monero, OG Bitcoin Dev Peter Todd, agorist Derrick Broze, Cypherpunk OG Amir Taaki, FOSS advocate Luke Smith, anarchist and early crypto advocate Jeff Berwick and many more.

There are a lot of different reasons that brought all of us to cryptocurrency. Some are here to get rich, while others staunchly advocate for decentralization and to tear down the Fed. Below I've listed several reasons why someone might be invested in crypto. Options on polls are limited to six, so it does not cover every specific reason. Also, some may be invested for a combination of reasons. With that said...
What is your primary motivation for investing in cryptocurrency?
Please feel free to cast a vote and share your opinion in the comments.
At this point, crypto has caught the attention of many different areas of society. Some were already actively investing in traditional markets, while others began their investment journey with crypto. The types of investors vary wildly, with some just attracted by the volatility and the vast upswings, trading daily or often. In contrast, others see it as a long-term safe hedge against inflation, accumulating and holding on for dear life.
Everyone has a personal view of how risky crypto is and where they place their 'bets,' and everyone has different investing strategies or lack thereof.
That said, I am interested to know what the average r/cc user allocates the bulk of their investments toward. I know the answer from many will be "obviously crypto." But is anyone here only dabbling in crypto while keeping the core of their investments elsewhere?
Which asset class have you allocated most of your invested capital toward?
Please feel free to cast a vote and share your opinion in the comments.
If the rumors about the upcoming Amazon marketplace are true, what is the most likely candidate blockchain to have the marketplace built on?
For those who don't know, there have been rumors that Amazon is launching an NFT marketplace and collections on April 24th.
For the choices I picked, Ethereum because it is the biggest and most renown NFT platform, Polygon because of their business partnerships (reddit avatars), Solana because it's the second biggest NFT chain, Avalanche because of the partnership with Amazon to build on AWS, and Algorand because of their Fifa partnership. Another option here is Flow because they landed partnerships in the past with NBA and shopify etc...but there aren't many Flow enthusiasts around here.
As the banner rental system has grown since January, we have done a lot to refine the system to make it easier for mods and sponsors. One aspect of this system with some friction is the pricing model, which was defined in CCIP 48 and updated in CCIP 52. Unfortunately, the updates have not quite solved the problems. There is a lot of volatility in either moon amount or moon value, and this can cause issues when there are significant moon value changes between the time of the quote and the burn.
So, we would like to repeal the pricing rules from these CCIPs and allow mods to have more flexibility in quoting prices, working with sponsors, and adjusting on the fly as needed. The banner process is a bit too new for a rigid price for the time being, but after it becomes more mature we would be happy to codify rules again in the future if it makes sense.
(CCIP 52 has several portions, so this would be a repeal of part 5, and partial repeal of 3+4)
ChatGPT and other AI generated posts were previously banned in our sub, but CCIP 54 appears to have made them permissible by giving them a karma multiplier. This proposal will ban them entirely.
CCIP 54 was probably misinterpreted by most voters as reducing a problem. Instead, it created one. It stated that it reduced rewards for AI posts while it actually increased them by allowing the posts which were previously against the rules.
This proposal will not ban discussions about AI in any way. Only content generated using AI will be banned.
