I would start without the Defense% and as you get close to your top waves, change the free upgrade out for defense%.

I’ll share with you the secret, this is a long game. And labs are about the slow incremental increases. They are restricted by time and so by starting on them asap, you begin to unlock big bonuses faster.
A few levels of coin/kill (+0.43%) may not seem like much, but when added to the 12x GT bonus, the 6.5x Black hole bonus, the 2.09x other bonuses, and the 3.7x gold bot bonus…it’s a bonus of 862.5x which allows players to earn Billions of coins per run. (I’m not there yet…)

Also look up “footguns” on the wiki, there are a lot of them and some of them you’ve already done (the GT frequency). Sorry…

There are threads that are pinned that you can find with complete details…but I’ll give you a few basics (farm on tier 1 or 4, T2 and 3 are bugged)
Gem focus on unlocking the 5th lab…then cards…then on unlocking card slots. (mods are in there somewhere…idk where, I’m not there with mods yet)
Stones Get PS (I think that’s right) and then save up your stones looking for black hole. Once you get black hole save up your stones to 900 and get the cooldown duration synced.
Coins focus first towards more coin production and then things that will take you farther in the run.
Labs should do Game Speed, Labs Speed, Lab Discount, Attack Speed, Coin/Kill, GT bonuses (I don’t think my order was perfect, but those are good things to focus)
If I missed something, others can let me know.

Yea, I did the turtle Strat for a while and it’s a great starting strategy but it can only get you so far…keep doing it, but I wouldn’t invest too much into absolute defense (the %defense is always good).
For cards I would run Coin, Defense%, Cash, & Free Upgrades (go ahead and get that 4th slot after unlocking 3 labs). If you’re hitting wave 800, that free upgrade will get you roughly an extra 40 upgrades in each category…
But I wouldn’t buy any more cards, and I wouldn’t focus unlocking more labs.

Ok, so sounds like you’ve started on labs. Good, that will be your focus for your gems until you have ALL 5 UNLOCKED. The last two are expensive and will require you to save your gems (1k and 3k) but it’s the best use for your gems. many people may disagree with me but I’d unlock 5 card slots before going 5th lab
Next thing is to focus on your Coin production. Anything and everything that can up your coin production is great!! Use the card, invest in your coin/kill over coin/wave (but upgrade both for now), and anything you can do to increase your coin production. It’s vastly more important than cash production (though cash is important too).
Defense % is great, but defense absolute falls off pretty fast (once you get life-steal, knockback, and orbs) flat HP scales much better. Took me far too long to find that out 😳 HP regen is garbage.
Some “Footguns” to stop and research (aka look up and know what you’re doing) before moving forward are Ultimate Weapons (Golden tower and Black hole are the top 2), anything (labs, upgrades, workshop, etc) that increase or adjusts the Frequency or Range of things. And for your workshop, don’t buy the workshop free attack or utility upgrades only free defense upgrade (you can buy them inside the runs, just not the workshop)…at least until you know why.
I have an old [[Will Kenrith]] and [[Rowan Kenrith]] deck and it was always so expensive to get the first commander on the board…I’d run it there because being able to hold up 2-3 mana after getting the first PW out is a big swing…
It’s a casual deck, but holding that extra mana up could win the game right there…
