Goth chanteuse Eva O. is perhaps best known for her contributions to the Rozz Williams version of Christian Death, though she also worked with several other bands and managed a solo career as well. Born Eva Ortiz, she grew up in a strongly Catholic military family, spending the majority of her childhood in Las Vegas. She had a troubled childhood and found solace in playing the guitar, eventually moving to Los Angeles to pursue rock & roll. In 1980, she founded a punky, all-female hard rock group called the Speed Queens, who were inspired in part by the Runaways. Wanting to take music more seriously than some of her bandmates, she soon left to form the Superheroines with bassist Jill Emery. This group earned a following on L.A.'s so-called death rock scene of the early '80s, which also included goth-flavored bands like .45 Grave and Christian Death. In fact, the Superheroines made their recorded debut alongside those bands on 1981's Hell Comes to Your House compilation, and O. supplied the female backing vocals on Christian Death's debut album, Only Theatre of Pain.

The Superheroines recorded two albums of their own, Cry for Help and Souls That Save, for the small local label Bemis Brain over 1982-1983. A third album was begun but never completed, and O. officially disbanded the Superheroines in 1987, when she married original (and, by this time, former) Christian Death singer Rozz Williams. The couple moved to San Francisco and started the goth rock outfit Shadow Project, moving the group back to Los Angeles in 1990. In the meantime, Williams -- who'd founded Christian Death but left in 1985 -- revived the name to compete with the current version of Christian Death, and made O. the guitarist and female vocalist.

Thanks to those two projects, O.'s recorded legacy expanded substantially in the early '90s. Shadow Project issued two studio albums (1991's Shadow Project and 1992's Dreams for the Dying) plus a live set, In Tuned Out; the Williams-led Christian Death, meanwhile, released an album of re-recordings of early material, The Iron Mask, plus two albums of new material, 1993's Path of Sorrows and 1994's The Rage of Angels. Around this time, O. grew interested in a solo career, and to help grease the skids, Cleopatra issued the 1993 career retrospective Past Time, which featured material from her days with the Speed Queens, the Superheroines, and Christian Death, as well as three new solo songs.

Released in 1994, O.'s proper solo debut was a shocking revelation for many longtime fans: she had converted to Christianity, and crafted a born-again concept album titled Demons Fall for an Angel's Kiss. Credited to the Eva O. Halo Experience, it featured prominent musical support from producer Johnny Indovina. O. eventually divorced Rozz Williams, who had been battling heroin addiction, but the two remained close, and reunited as Shadow Project for the mostly acoustic album From the Heart in 1998; sadly, Williams committed suicide that April. The following year, O. issued her second proper solo album, Damnation, on the small Massacre label; it continued her Christian spiritual preoccupation.

Esta banda se fundó en el año de 1991, experimentando con los sonidos del goth, new wave y el ebm.
En 1992 salió su primer álbum, llamado "Träume Sex Und Tod", este álbum fue muy bien aceptado, a tal grado que la banda fue invitada al festival Zillo que se celebró a finales de ese mismo año.
Habían comenzado. En 1993, Umbra Et Imago se había colocado como una de las bandas más importantes dentro de la escena europea.
De su segundo álbum; "Infantile Spiele", destacó el sencillo "Gothic Erotic", el cual dio la vuelta por todas las discos (dentro de la escena goth) de Europa.
Llegaron al clímax en 1993, con su aparición en el Zillo al aire libre. Gracias a su carismático vocalista Mozart y a su destacable perfomance fetish, reunieron a 7000 espectadores que quedaron convencidos con su actuación.

Gitane Demone es conocida como ex miembro de Christian Death, pero también ha editado magníficos álbumes en solitario donde da rienda suelta a su pasión por el jazz y las potentes voces femeninas, sobre todo por Billie Holliday. Además, su aspecto visual nunca ha dejado de ser intrigante y fascinante, puro rubber y S/M, estandarte de una imaginería fetish que ha trasladado más de una vez a sus letras.

Demone comenzó su carrera en la escena de la nueva ola de California a principios de los 80´s como miembro del trío Pompeii 99. Al grupo se unió más tarde el cantante Rozz Williams para formar una nueva encarnación de su grupo Christian Death, donde Demone permaneció largo tiempo hasta que en 1989 decidió trasladarse a Amsterdam y comenzar su carrera en solitario. Ya sola, Gitane Demone se lanza al formato crooner, a las canciones cabareteras y a dar rienda suelta a su poderosa voz repleta de soul.

Ahora vive en Los Angeles y está trabajando en un nuevo trabajo en solitario. Acaba de editar un doble DVD titulado “Life after Death” que contiene varios aspectos de su carrera así como un concierto junto a Rozz Williams.

La alineación consistía en la vocalista Candia Ridley, Tony McKormack (guitarra y programación), Adam Henderson (bajo) y Mick Egan. Tocaron en club locales por meses posteriormente a su formación, hasta que eventualmente decidieron grabar su primer disco en 1992. Belladonna and Aconite, es el disco debut de la agrupación.

Playing across the local club scene during the months that followed, Sukkubus eventually decided to record their first album in 1992. Elegant Machinery - Shattered Grounds

Elegant Machinery es una banda de synthpop originaria de Suecia. Se la considera como una de las pocas bandas actuales que se dedica a crear synthpop de un estilo tradicional, y junto a bandas como Page, S.P.O.C.K., y Kie The Vez definen el sonido del movimiento synthpop sueco.

Fuertemente influenciados por proyectos musicales como Yazoo, Human League y Depeche Mode, Richard Jomshof y Leslie Bayne fundan la banda en el año 1988 bajo el nombre de Pole Position.

Un año más tarde Robert Enforsen se une al grupo como vocalista principal, con el que lanzaron un primer demo y además cambiaron su nombre a Elegant Machinery, derivado del título del álbum de la agrupación synthpop británica de los 80’s DATA.

Posterior a esto, el año 1991 el grupo lanza el álbum “Degraded Faces”, y un año más tarde Johan Malmgren, un músico que acompañaba al grupo en las giras, se une oficialmente a Elegant Machinery.

Elegant Machinery is an synthpop Sweden band. It's considered like one of the few present bands that are dedicated to create synthpop in a traditional style, with bands like Page, S.P.O.C.K., and Kie The Time, that defines the synthpop sound of the Swedish movement.

Strongly influenced by musical projects like Yazoo, Human League and Depeche Mode, Richard Jomshof and Leslie Bayne found the band in 1988 under the name of Pole Position.

Rosetta Stone - Adrenaline

Banda inglesa formada a mediados de los 80's por Porl King (guitarra, voz, teclados) y Karl North (bajo), además de su máquina de ritmos y sintetizador llamada "Madame Razor".

La banda fue llamada Rosetta Stone, debido al artefacto histórico egipcio en donde se interpretan los jeroglíficos al idioma actual, además de que en sus primeros trabajos se referían constantemente a la mitología de esa cultura asiática.

El primer estilo del grupo fue retomado de los primeros sonidos de guitarra utilizados en el rock gótico, cuyo impulso fue determinante la banda The Mission.

Después de tocar localmente y en su país, en 1988 comienzan a grabar sencillos de manera independiente para ganar audiencia, es entonces que graban su primer álbum tres años después 'An eye for the main chance' realizado en 1991. En esa etapa llaman a un segundo guitarrista para acompañarlos en las giras -Porl Young-, con lo cual se establece un primer trío que a partir de ese momento conformaría el grupo, pero que duraría muy poco tiempo.

Posterior a ese hecho, la banda realizó su sencillo más conocido, 'Adrenaline'. Young deja la banda para producir a -Children on Stun- mientras King y North realizan un cover de 1970 del grupo -The Rattles- con la canción 'The Witch'.

Estas canciones les sirvieron a la banda para firmar un disco en EU y un contrato de distribución con Cleopatra Records, quienes realizaron en 1993 un disco con canciones originales y covers realizados anteriormente llamado 'Adrenaline'.

English band created in the middle of 80' s by Porl King (guitar, voice, keyboards) and Karl North (bass), besides its drum beat machine and synthetizer called " Madame Razor".

The band was called Rosetta Stone, due to the Egyptian historical device where the hierogliphic to the present language are interpreted, apart from which in his first works constantly talked about the mythology of that Asian culture.

The first style of the group was retaken of the first used sounds of guitar in the gothic rock, whose impulse was determining the band 'The Mission'.
