I really thought i had lost this vol.1 of my own Clash related compilation,i couldn't find the original disk or file anywhere, and then earlier on today a long time friend of the blog Mr Marky Dread(cheers old chap!!) sent me a link for it.It came from someone else (im sorry ive lost their name but please pass on my thanks and eternal gratitude),its 13 tracks for your listening pleasure and its a cracker.consisting of a few interviews and some great live tracks and tv performances etc etc, this volume of the series is probably my favourite of the lot, maybe as its the first one i did or something ,who knows?but hopefully you'll love it as much as i do.anyhoo please listen enjoy and leave a comment.thanks! OB VOL.1
continuing with all things joe strummer and clash related is this excellent 2cd compilation called Generations with a total of 37 tracks spread over the 2 discs. its a great compilation and definitely worth a listen, so please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! GENERATIONS 1+2
Hola mi amigos, and i hope everyone is safe and well. This is a test repost of sorts as ive been having a lot of trouble with mediafire over the last few months etc so i would have been back sooner but tonight it finally clicked.Anyway ill get back to other posts over the next week or so. Anyway this is another quality clash compilation this one, this one was made up to look like it could have been an official part of the boxset.the disk is even stamped 'promotional use only'.comprising rehearsals, demos and alternate mixes etc its a great disk for your collection.track 1 is a brilliant version of 'rock the casbah' with ranking roger toasting on it.in the meantime listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! Disk 4 The Outtakes
this is another show from the 'take the 5th tour'.The tour swings down south into Georgia and Texas but without the Undertones who left after the Toronto gig. The band and particularly Joe were excited and inspired by playing in the southern states for the first time. Money problems continued; with Epic not coming through, the road crew were particularly difficult with drastic measures needed by Johnny Green and Baker.Pennie Smith was at the gig taking photos; one at least is credited to Atlanta on the back cover of London Calling.so this is a great sounding gig but with an edge to it.i cant explain what but listen for yourselves, play it loud till the neighbours threaten to call the police, then turn it down and leave a comment.thanks!
Evening all, tonight's offering is a great sounding show recorded in Paris on October 16th 1978 and features 17 tracks for your listening pleasure. The show fizzes with energy and the band sound great.my favourite song on this is the version of Police and Thieves which blends nicely into "Blitzkrieg Bop"!!Anyway give the show a listen and then let me know what you think by leaving a comment. Thanks !
this is the 25 track expanded version of the 'rude boy' film soundtrack which has demos, live songs, instrumentals etc etc oh yeah and some interviews as well.a great sound which i know you will love.i seem to have misplaced the original cover to this(im always doing that!)so ive tried making my own.anyway i hope you play this very loud, marvel at joes piano playing, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! Rude Boy Directors Cut
Here we go with another compilation of Clash related goodies. There's tv performances, solo versions, post clash versions, cover versions, live tracks, collaborations, interviews and all sorts of great things to listen to.28 tracks in total for your listening pleasure. So without further ado, please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! OB - 3
This is a repost as requested by Legion63 (sorry it took so long!)it is the from here to eternity outtakes collection.please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! FHTE II

Outside Broadcasts Vol.2
This post you see before you started life long before i compiled the outside broadcasts series that you can find elsewhere on the blog.this was one of my first attempts at compiling clash cover versions, remixes post clash projects etc.i hope you like it!
p.s i forgot to mention some of the artists included here. theres the police, the killers, busta rhymes,50 cent, tony blair!!,the beastie boys and many other artists that to be honest ive never heard of.some work really well , others er......not so much but worth a listen though,so after you've listened please leave a comment.thanks! The Clash - Get Mashed
the last posting for this evening is Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros at Glastonbury in 1999.this one is taken from a (probably)bbc radio 6 re-broadcast in 2003(i think).anyway its 12 tracks long and features a great mix of clash and mescaleros faves.joe is on great form and dedicates 'rock the casbah' to an ex-drummer of his you may have heard of.the sound here is brilliant and sounds fantastic on either good speakers or headphones.so you really, really have no excuses in not playing this loud, enjoying it and then leaving a comment on it.thanks!
Continuing today's posts we have this wonderful Clash compilation called Lost Treasures. It's a nice collection of alternative versions, remixes and demos etc.19 tracks in total for your listening pleasure.so without further ado, please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! Clash - Lost Treasures

Repost : this is a strange clash boot for you all today.i got it as a 2 disk cd-r a few days ago and honestly had never heard of it before.it seems to be a compilation of other bootlegs from 'd.o.a' and 'rudeboy' etc.theres also some live tracks from unknown(to me anyway)sources but disk 2 has a few remixes etc that ive not heard recently and some mescaleros live pieces etc.also on disk 1 is a track called 'rudy ska' that is supposedly a recording from the clash and the specials but to me it doesnt sound like either of them(in fact i know it definitely isnt so not sure why its on here!).i think this bootleg was originally taken from vinyl sources or at least a vinyl version seems to exist.i must see if blackmarketclash.com have any info on its origin.so have a listen and tell me what you think.if anything its another for the clash completists out there.so then enjoy it and leave a comment.thanks!
Happy new year everyone out there in interweb land. i thought it was about time i posted something new on the blog what with it being a new year and everything and what better way to kick things off than with a nice new clash related post. This one started life as outside broadcasts vol.9 but i then decided to make this just a remix/mashup collection as i was collecting so many tracks from people that i thought id do a volume 2 of this one.anyway there are 31 tracks for your listening pleasure including 2 great ones from http://magnum1971mixes.blogspot.co.uk/. (check out the blog some great clash and non related stuff as well).so without further ado please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! Get Mashed Vol.2
This is a show recorded by The Clash II at Brixton Academy in December of 1984. It was a benefit gig for the families of striking coalminers in England and Wales. Its a really good sounding gig with 25 songs and another one cd i know youll want to keep. go here to blackmarketclash.com to read the full story on this and pretty much every clash gig ever.its a great website with hours of reading to be done. now then, please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!! Working in a coalmine vol.2
another cracking clash gig for all you clash fans is this excellent live show from paris recorded in 1978.excellent sound throughout with the band on top form.this is one i know you will all love.so its over to you to listen, enjoy and then leave a comment on it.thanks! Clash Blitzkrieg Live!
This post is really for Clash completists like myself. its from the excellent Guns of Brixton show recorded at New Yorks palladium theatre in September 1979. its 7 tracks for your listening pleasure. Well unlike the recording of the gig itself the sound quality on this isnt the greatest to be honest, but its definitely worth a listen and is an interesting addition to your collection. so please listen, hopefully enjoy and leave a comment.thanks! Guns of Brixton Soundcheck
