You really shouldn't have had hope in the first place for a title next season. We are in the midst of a rebuild. We're still in the beginning of it. We may have finally found our new post- Iniesta/Xavi midfield in Gavi and Pedri but we still have Messi and Busquets to replace. Now, no one player is replacing Messi, but we have to somehow replace his production. And Busquets level may have dropped off these last few seasons but don't get it twisted, he is the preeminent player at his position. His work will be just as hard to replace by a single player.

This shit is going to take time. You seriously cannot expect 17-20 yr olds like Gavi, Pedri, and Ansu to produce like 25 yr old veterans. They are incredible and special players, but they need to be protected and nurtured. Koeman and Enrique damn near killed Pedri last year with the amount of games they played him in. We keep playing these kids 5000 mins a season and they will have a career measured in minutes played, not seasons.
