I don't know what all the fuss is about with frozen pitches. When Dundee's undersoil heating failed a few years ago, they just got on with it!

60'S COMMERCIAL BREAK

Wonder how many people can remember this brand of washing powder?
I can still picture it on the shelves of our VG store back in the 60's. Apparently it was really good at tackling those stubborn grass scrapes.
There was a commercial on TV that used to be broadcast on Grampian too, and I have the only known film of it here below.

JIM DUFFY IN PRIVATE EYE

Satirical magazine, Private Eye, run a column called Colemanballs. It contains examples of sentences that don't make any sense that have been used in the media, usually during a sports commentary, or in interviews. They are named after David Coleman who was always coming out with such gaffs in his commentaries.
Well here is the one when our own Jim Duffy made the sports hall of infamy, when he came out with this little ditty about Novo in 2003.
