Has anyone built a data warehouse primarily using Databricks? by No_Stick_8227 in dataengineering

You will next to never get subsecond, near as I can tell. Which is okay, but something you’d expect of a “serving layer”.

Very VERY important to note that “SERVING LAYER” will never return a query in less than 3 seconds - so if you’re using your current persistence in a pattern that allows for that, you’ll be inventing a storage layer your stream data into, at your expense.

Hardly a solution if latency is something care about.

Yeah and that’s why I’m pining for it - Ultrawides suck with the win 10 task bar. I want the best of both worlds lol.

If you squint you can see it - modernized desktop with the center align for widescreen support. Rounded aero theme you can make transparent.

To me, W11 just needs an IoT version stripped of Cortana, telemetry and all other horse shit before I’ll do it.

Fire up VB6, new form. Double click, open frm_load event.

First line of code is always the same:

I don’t believe in barriers, because I’m always breaking them.

AWS veteran, are global services affected when us-east-1 is down? by DarknessBBBBB in aws

[–]CuntWizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Route 53, ultimately still depends on us-east-1 in several ways. We’ve seen global auto scaling/failovers not work correctly when their internal aliasing magic behind ALBs and the like shits the bed.

Right - same people pissed they secretly can’t afford to buy a home are the same ones wishing for even wealthier corporate landlords to pay rent to.

The thing being illustrated/gatekept in this photo is not the roast type; it’s the concentration.
