I didn’t say the GP needed to prescribe meds- I actually said exactly the opposite. Did you even read my comment? I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. That doctors can spout off about whatever they want? Because that’s not true- they take an oath. And doctors that don’t “believe” in common medical problems are dangerous. Patients see doctors as experts and it may discourage someone from a diagnosis.

No, it’s still really inappropriate to make comments like that about a medically recognized condition. And if the doctor is referring the patient to a specialist- they’re acknowledging their lack of expertise in the same breath they decide to voice their asinine opinion. It’s not malpractice, but it also is not ok.
The fact that you care enough to ask this question means that you DO have compassion.

That’s not how this works at all. General practitioners can prescribe psych meds and are not required to adhere to a diagnosis they don’t agree with. They hold a certain amount of liability as the prescribing physician and it is their own license on the line. I don’t blame general practitioners for not prescribing meds for a condition they are not treating.
I don’t agree with that doctor at all. What they said is inappropriate. It would be acceptable for them to not prescribe and refer OP to a new psychiatrist if they want psych meds. Saying the diagnosis is fake is not acceptable. BUT it doesn’t make it malpractice. It’s not fair or right. But it does not meet the legal burden for malpractice. Anyone saying otherwise is incorrect.

I don’t even understand what the hell they were thinking with The Craft Legacy. I am definitely not offended by “woke” stuff but they threw in every woke idea they could think of. I like when movies push for diverse casting and inclusive topics. But the dialogue was insufferable- no one talks like that! It felt very inauthentic.
AND the twist was so dumb- she was some powerful witch because her birth mom is Nancy, but Nancy wasn’t a natural witch, so how could it be genetic? They make a big deal in the original that Sarah is the natural witch.
It was completely pointless and fucked with the lore of the beloved original. I hate this movie.

I’ll reply- you sound unhinged about a fake reality show from almost 20 years ago.
I think Lauren acted like a bitch on the show multiple times, and she seems really judgey. But she was young, and people were literally leeching onto her fame, and she did have some monumental betrayals happen- I think it’s understandable. She’s grown up. She had a lot handed to her, but I think that she leveraged her fame to create a really smart brand and has created a wonderful life for herself. And WHY would we take the word of Brody, Frankie, and Justin Bobby- at face value? That’s just funny.
There’s no conspiracy. There’s no big secret “truth”. We know the show was fake. Calm down. You’re acting like Lauren secretly murdered your family and you’re out to expose the truth.

What do you think she’s had done? She looks different but I looked very different in college versus my late 20s too. It just looks like she lost baby fat in her face.
Edit: I’m asking a serious question. Can someone let me know what work they think she had done? I’m not saying she didn’t have work. I just can’t see it.
