Did a remodel at Adams Toyota in lees summit. Don’t know much about their prices but the owner was the nicest possible guy you could ever meet
Best to walk away. Make detailed notes about what you found and write it out clear as day that the customer refused to let you fix the problem properly and that you refused to do a hack job. Have them sign it and date it and let them know they don’t owe you a dime. Don’t have anything to do with it from that point on and keep that signed document for when his house burns down or someone is electrocuted
I’m a second year apprentice, so I’m making half that. Can’t wait to turn out.
Work hard, stay off your phone and show up every day. It’s well worth it. Spent the majority of my time non union and switching over was the best decision I could have made for my family and myself
The best ability is availability. Show up early and shine.
Every day. Only days I miss are when I’m running a fever or the kiddo is sick. I enjoy my work and encourage others to find a job where they feel the same. I know it’s cliche to say but it’s true. Hard to be motivated when you’re miserable. Trades are great for people that love to be active and work with their hands. Many downsides to it as well but it has made a wonderful life for my family. College isn’t a necessity

I personally hate it. I always see a bunch of jocks from my high school trying to get with women 10 years younger than them every time I go. Then they approach me and want to “hang out sometime” when we were never friends in the first place. There’s a reason my wife and I moved to where we know no one
I guess I misspoke. I no longer live where people know me. Haven’t been to Westport in several years, those are just my memories of it
On that one day where it fell to -10 yes. But then after that we only received a couple cold spurts in the 20-40 degree region.
I don’t know where you were when the windchill was -28 but I was working outside and remember it well
