Tldr: avoidance. Being home can bring forth domestic issues (IE, have to be physically in the mortgage that is putting me under stress), and also face a partner who makes me face this stress (don't want to admit, don't want to discuss needing to sell etc).

We are the distraction generation. Solace in scrolling and likes. .being out and about is just another distraction... Distraction at being able to sleep a night away and struggle through another day.
