I really do not think there was that much of and uproar other than on the internet. (And a lot of this was bots)

I mean the shows history speaks for itself and the fanbase for decades has been at the leading edge of cultural acceptance.

I think the real uproar was people were pissed that the new show seemed to ape star wars or Jj abrams-trek and NOT Roddenberry’s. And people with a financial reasons to defend the ip pulled the race and sexist card…. On TREKKIES… :facepalm:

Oh yes for sure this is a great step forward! Just saying we still on that journey. The added equipment needed to maintain such temperatures is on par with what the Superconductors we have right now need in cryogenics however.

Yes but at that point, the added kit to keep the pressure is approaching the cryogenic equipment need for the Superconductors we already have.
