Replaced toilet ring and still smell odor. Replaced toilet ring and still smell odor.
help

Hopefully this is a DIY topic. New (to me) home and noticed a bit of a sewage smell in the master bathroom.

When the toilet was flushed it went away. So I pulled the toilet off and found they used a non wax ring and I replaced it with a brand new wax ring. All good. I did my home plumbing and the toilet works.

Except the smell still comes back. If we flush it goes away for 30 minutes or so. It comes back. It isn’t too strong but it shouldn’t be there.

The toilet flush/smell disappearing led me to believe it was the toilet. It also seems to be central to the toilet but that’s in the middle of the bathroom.

What else can I check or go after?
