The Cramps - Booze Party

this is one ive not been able to find too much info on.i know the bootleg was initially a double-vinyl issue but apart from that not much else.all i know that its another excellent sound quality live c.d from the mondo-de-muebles archives that finds the cramps playing a blistering set of their demented take on all things trash and psychobilly.trashabilly if you like.anyway play this very loud, listen,do a silly dance and most of all enjoy, and leave a comment.thanks!
p.s As ive been listening to this it occurred to me that Nick Knox died just over a year ago on June 15th.he really was the coolest drummer in rock n roll. R.I.P Nick

Naz Nomad and the Nightmares - Give daddy the knife cindy

continuing with a damned sort of vibe we have another spin off from the group.here is what wikipedia had to say about them.
"Naz Nomad and The Nightmares released one album entitled "Give Daddy The Knife, Cindy" in 1984. The album was packaged to look like the re-issue of a 1967 soundtrack album to a (fictitious) low budget American horror film. A copyright notice on the front cover claims the film was "Copyright 1967 American Screen Destiny Pictures", and credits are given for the film's stars, director and producer.
The album itself features covers of songs by g
arage rock and psychedelic acts who had influenced the Damned, plus two original numbers in the same style. Each member of the band took on pseudonyms different from those used in The Damned for the project."
another band i had the pleasure of seeing live when they supported the damned at the old 'town and country club' in london probably around 1993.anyway a great cd and one for you all to listen to,enjoy and then leave a comment on.thanks!

Lux Interior - R.I.P

well i thought i should post a cramps boot today in a sort of tribute to the late great Lux Interior the legendary frontman from the kings of psychobilly.he died recently from heart problems and the world of music is a sadder place today with his death.not much to say about this short and blistering set recorded in seattle in '81(?).listen to this and remember all those great nights at venues like the astoria in london and remember this excellent live performer.Lux you will be sorely missed.

The Barracudas - Complete EMI recordings

a great compilation from a sadly under-rated band, formed in late '78 and continuing until 1981.there was another line up that continued after this but they aren't on this compilation.influenced by everyone from the ramones, the stooges to the beach boys this cd deserves to be in everyones collection.some nice sleeve notes with the c.d that i will post later.listen, enjoy and leave a comment.thanks!

MC5 - Kick out the jams

this album was recorded live in detroit on october 30th/31st 1968.to quote from the sleeve notes "we were punk, before punk.we were new wave, before new wave.we were metal, before metal."if you haven't heard this album before then do yourself a favour and give it a listen.turn the volume all the way to 11 and prepare yourselves for pure sonic fury......
enjoy and leave a comment.thanks!
