Escaped Migrant Arrested in Texas for Possession of Firearm near Border

A Honduran migrant was arrested for the alleged possession of a firearm by the Eagle Pass Police Department but managed to escape shortly after that. The migrant reportedly climbed through the rear window of a police unit while handcuffed and fled from the scene of his arrest on Monday. Officers responded quickly to the escape and managed to recapture the migrant in short order.

President Trump, Gov. Abbott Serve Thanksgiving Meals to Texas Border Troops, State Police

Former President Donald Trump and Texas Governor Greg Abbott served an early Thanksgiving meal to a host of law enforcement officers and Texas National Guard soldiers serving the border region as part of Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. The former president and Abbott are slated to deliver remarks to a crowd of Texas Rio Grande Valley officials and border residents later Sunday.

San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a former Los Angeles Police Department officer who was convicted of raping women while on duty. The agents charged the ex-cop with human smuggling and felon in possession of an illegal firearm. The convicted rapist also allegedly presented a fake LAPD lieutenant’s badge.

Border Patrol Agent in Arizona Dies in On-Duty ATV Crash

A Border Patrol agent died in the line of duty in Douglas, Arizona, after an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) he was driving collided with a light pole. The agent was identified as 44-year-old Freddy Ortiz, a veteran agent with over a decade of service to his country. Ortiz was responding to a call regarding suspected migrant activity on Tuesday evening when the accident occurred near Chino Road and International Avenue.

Exclusive: Eight Dead in Texas after Human Smuggling Pursuit Ends in Crash

A suspected migrant smuggler and seven others died after the driver’s vehicle collided with an innocent motorist near Batesville, Texas. According to a law enforcement source, the smuggler who was transporting five suspected migrants and was fleeing from Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol troopers when the accident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Exclusive: Single Group of 1,200 Migrants Surge Across Arizona Border

According to a source within CBP, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a single group of migrants that crossed the U.S./Mexico border into San Miguel, Arizona. An initial headcount at the crossing scene on Saturday showed the group consisted of 1,200 migrants from across the globe. Saturday’s group is one of two large groups of more than 1,000 migrants to cross the border near San Miguel since November 1.

The governor of the State of Mexico became the latest target of cartel threats in makeshift banners just weeks after assuming office. The threats come as cartel violence and influence continue to spread to once-peaceful areas of Mexico while politicians push empty claims that the country is safer.

Photos Show Migrants Forcing Way Through Texas Border Barriers

Several groups of migrants entered the water of the Rio Grande headed to Eagle Pass, Texas, despite repeated attempts to deter their access by Mexico’s National Guard soldiers. The migrants thwarted the soldiers’ attempts to capture them, ultimately entering the water and heading straight into the layers of concertina wire and cargo containers placed along the United States bank of the river.

Mexican Government Impotent as Gulf Cartel Spreads Terror Through Border State Highways

Mexico’s government remains impotent as the Gulf Cartel continues to spread terror through highways in the border state of Tamaulipas. Either for political beliefs or because of widespread corruption, local, state, and federal forces left residents to their fate as convoys of cartel gunmen freely roamed the state highways, clashing with rivals. In addition to the fighting, gunmen have also been carrying out carjackings, kidnappings, and other crimes targeting innocent civilians.
