For me, it’s Devonte Graham. Idk wtf happened to him but he was THAT GUY on the hornets in 2019-2020. I haven’t heard a thing about him since though. Maybe its someone who had hype you havent heard of since, an underrated player on old great teams, etc
At his current scoring average this season of 25.5 points, he will cross 40,000 in about 39 games.
To score 39,000 points, Lebron has taken 28,264+ shot attempts in NBA games. That’s about 20 shots per game. He will likely pass Kareem in the next ~5 games for most FGAs in NBA history at 28307.
Two questions to comment on:
-
How many total practice shots do you think he has taken in his career?
They say it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill, and Lebron has clearly crossed that. He’s been playing basketball since he was 10. Let’s say he started practicing in earnest at 14. How many practice shots do you think he takes per day? In his NBA career, between practice and pregame, he has to average 200-300 shots per day (easily). He plays in season about 8 months a year, for now 21 years.
Factoring in conservative estimates, he likely has crossed 1,000,000-1,500,000 shot attempts of a basketball in his life. That doesn’t factor in any of his attempts before the age of 18, and also doesn’t factor in any shots in the off-season. I also don’t know how many shots he averages a day (online sources indicate most players shoot 200-500 a workout).
If anyone else has any data to help inform this model please add.
But this brings me to question #2.
2. What in your life have you done 1,000,000 times?
The only thing I can thing of is breaths, swallowing, or blinking. Which means Lebron had shot more basketball shots than the average human does anything other than core functions in their life

He’s just so bad man, IQ hasn’t progressed and he seems to have even regressed on the defensive end.

How yall feel abt it? Imo I love it. Idk why people thought the NBA couldn't make this work. It's not perfect tho. It brings more competition, will make bench players try harder since the money matters more to them, gets people to watch at the start of the season, and the atmosphere is different from a normal regular season game. I hope there can be a better incentive though. Maybe moving up a seed at the end of the season (unless your the 1 seed) if you win the tourney. For example if your the 7th seed, you can get out of the play in by going to the 6th seed, which would make teams try even more imo. It also gives no reason for tanking teams to win since they wanna be low, not high. But maybe there's a better incentive.
On tonight's episode, the guys recap Tuesday's five-game tournament slate. Plus, we have the latest editions of Shaqtin' a Fool and Neat-O Stat of the Night.
The Blazers have joined the Pistons, Spurs, Grizzlies, and Wizards as officially relegated to playing the spoiler role in the tournament. Better luck next year.

Basically, the title.
Which among crean of the crop superstars rivals held each other the most that prevent both of them in climbing on most of the respectable and honorable nba all time list?
MY LIST
1. MAGIC AND BIRD
They are #1 for me. If either one of them doesn't exist, the other one left will be the by far best player in the 80s. And ofc, as an effect will win more rings. (Maybe 2 or 3 more rings)
2. Kobe and Duncan
All those countless western conference playoffs matches. They were lucky they were both in West. So, their finals record is not affected by them winning/losing against each other. But still, the existence of both of them prevented each other of winning more rings
I want to put Russell and Wilt #3. But Russell won 11 rings to Wilt's 2. So, they didn't held each other.
Who else?
They, along with the Pistons, Blazers, Grizzlies, Spurs, and Wizards are 100% not getting that Vegas trip and $500k. Better luck next year.

5 gamer today and some really good games to look through.
Toronto @ Orlando (Orl -1.5 o/u 214)
Orlando is once again without Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter Jr. But they've been without those guys, so the prices are all fair here. I really like seeing Franz Wagner dip below that 7k threshold. He has the talent and the minutes to get into the 40+ fantasy point and given night. I'm not sure this is the best matchup for him to do so, Toronto has a bunch of length on D ar the wing, but I think his floor should be really safe in the low 30s. I'm not really seeing anything else on the Orlando side that stands out, but I don't mind ending up with Jalen Suggs at $5900. If Jonathan Isaac was seeing high 20s in minutes he'd crush that price. But he isn't. Yet....on the Toronto side OG Anunonby came back and is pretty decently priced at $6200 but I don't see the need. If I'm playing this game on both sides, I'm going with a Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, Franz Wagner mini stack. But I don't really think you have to on this slate given some of the other matchups. Should be a super competitive basketball game though, and games that stay close can produce fantasy value. I just see it spreading out. Nothing wrong with those plays though.
Indiana @ Atlanta (ATL -3.5 o/v 252!!!!)
Bros this might be the highest total I've ever seen. That's a straight up ridiculous number and I could 100% see it going over. These offenses are electric and you want to get exposure to this game. In 11 career matchups Clint Capela on average, outscores, out rebounds and out assists Myles Turner. At only $6200 I think he's a really safe play at center tonight. Problem is the minutes. He should be able to get solid production. Jalen Johnson at $6500 is a really solid play as well. He has shown that he can get there any given night. Bogi and Bey are solid but I'd much rather play the Pacers guys like Mathurn and Bruce Brown at pretty much that same price. Loading up on the mid tier guys is a solid way to get exposure to this game without having to force spend up. Really tough to not end up with Trae and Hali tonight though. I like the idea of a game stack of Bruce Brown, Ben Mathurin, Obi Toppin on the pacers side and Capela and Jalen Johnson on the Atl side. You could even add the point guards on top of that. It's doable
Cleveland @ Philly (Philly -7.5 o/u 218)
Donovan Mitchell and Isaac Okoro are OUT again tonight and Caris LeVert is questionable. Craig Porter Jr. has gotten some extra run lately with those guys out and has been fantastic. His price is up a bit, and the return of LeVert would squash his momentum. I think that Garland is an OK play at $8300 but not necessarily a great one. I like LeVert and Strus much more at their number and in this game. Jarrett Allen $7000 and Evan Mobley $8100 have gotten a little bit of a price hike that I don't love. On the Sixers side, you play one of Embiid or Maxey or skip them. I'm not seeing anything really stand out. Maxey will have very small ownership tonight with Hali and Trae likely to eat up the majority.
Portland at Phoenix (Pho -13 o/u 223)
Absolutely a blowout risk here. Malcolm Brogdon may return tonight but at $7400 does nothing but take away all value potential from Portland. They've been awful of late. No touchy from me. The Phoenix teams rotation has been super tight, even upon the return of Booker. I don't see anything wrong with playing one of KD or Booker in tournaments because they're right at that 10k number. KD been a little better of late, but a 3% Booker on a 5 game slate doesn't sound like a terrible plan to me. I also really like Jusuf Nurkic's price of $6600. That's really gettable. Grayson and Eric Gordon will see minutes but they just don't make sense over the other guys at that price range. Too many in the Indy/Atl game.
Jazz @ Lakers (LA -7.5 238 o/u)
AD is probable tonight and Lebron is Questionable. They've been consistently suiting up despite these tags so I wouldn't look too far into this game. If you wanna play this, big total low owned affair, I think it's AD or bust on the Laker side. Reaves has an intriguing price of only $6000, but I really don't like his minutes compared to someone like Max Strus. Even DLO at $6600 catches my attention a bit more. On the Jazz side Jordan Clarkson has been on a fucking tear of late. He has been thriving since the Jazz adjusted their starting lineup to include Keyontae George next to him. I absolutely think Clarkson is in a smash spot again tonight, the Lakers struggle a bit defending attacking guards without Vando and Gabe Vincent who both remain OUT. John Collins at $6400 should continue to see into the mid-high 30s on minutes but is priced appropriately this time out. Still a fine play. Lauri Markannen will likely see really low ownership tonight, the spend ups are too appealing and the super low value doesn't exist. Would be a fun roster to construct going for the cheaper studs like Lauri and Scottie and filling with the mid range.
