HEAVEN GIVE ME WORDS
Take these words they come out wrong
They won't express this old emotional thing
If you could see inside my mind
You'd know the love and feel this passionate thing

You stepped into my locked out world
I felt your touch on my shoulder
You turned my mind right over
Like a child before it learns to speak
I turn to stone, I turn to stone

Heaven give me words to tell you
How I am feeling
What I am needing
Heaven let this message reach you
This desperation
Will stop my heart from beating

I won't be giving in
I'll die if I don't tell you just how I feel
I'll make you truly understand
What kind of man could live with feelings
Of steel

I used to be so self contained
When I thought about love
A conversation heart to heart
I must confess this old emotional thing

Before you think that I'm a fool
There's a flame that burns here
Here's a feeling that's so rare
It's my nightmare when I go to speak
I turn to stone, I turn to stone

Heaven give me words to tell you
How I am feeling
What I am needing
Heaven let this message reach you
This desperation
Will stop my heart from beating
Heaven give me words
Heaven give pride
Heaven let this message reach you

You've seen a heart worn on my sleeve
I must express this old emotional thing
Please be a witness to my dreams
Or I'll wake up and say now
Can this be real?
Before you think that I'm a fool
There's a flame that burns here
Here's a feeling that's so rare
It's my nightmare when I go to speak
I turn to stone, I turn to stone

Heaven give me words to tell you
How I am feeling
What I am needing
Heaven let this message reach you
This desperation
Will stop my heart from beating

Heaven give me words to tell you
How I am feeling
What I am needing
Heaven let this message reach you
This desperation
Will stop my heart from beating

Heaven give me words
Heaven give pride
Heaven let this message reach you

Camouflage - The Remix Collection (1998)

Camouflage is a German New Wave trio consisting of Marcus Meyn, Heiko Maile and Oliver Kreyssig. Their only Billboard Hot 100 hit was "The Great Commandment" which climbed to #59 in 1988, though it did spend three weeks at #1 on the US dance chart. They also had two additional minor dance hits in 1989.

BIO

In 1983, Heiko Maile, Marcus Meyn, Martin Kahling and Oliver Kreyssig, four friends from Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, formed the band Licenced Technology. It was short lived, as Martin Kahling left in 1984. Soon after, the remaining three members renamed themselves "Camouflage", inspired by a Yellow Magic Orchestra song of the same name. The three young musicians set up their first studio in the basement of Heiko's parents' house, calling it "Boy's Factory". Their first live gigs at local music clubs soon followed. In 1985, Camouflage recorded two demo tapes at their studio, and the following year, the group won a local radio music contest, after a friend of theirs handed one of the demos in. A small Frankfurt music label, "Westside", showed interest in taking Camouflage on. There, the song "The Great Commandment" was recorded to be presented to bigger music companies. After considering offers from several record companies, Camouflage decided to sign a contract with Metronome.

The Great Commandments (Lyrics)

Some people suppress you they partch you
and reap a disaster
Reeducation for the infants
who demanded for an innocent instance

The great commandment shows the contempt
between the world and their embarrassing pavement
Believe the scholars read the readings
realize the man who says anything

The great commandment

The needies believe you they treat you
like survivor disaster
Reeducation for the infants
who demanded for an innocent instance

The great commandment.

Heaven (I Want You) (Lyrics)

When I look into your eyes,
then I know that life's worth living,
just without you, more or less,
there's nothing left to tell.

All the years we shared our time,
all the things we had in common,
all the crisis, more or less,
we've nothing left to tell.

All excuses, all your plights,
all your nice ideas, effusions of your mind,
but I'll tell you for a thousand times:

I want you going down just for one time.
I want you going down going down to the place
where you belong to.

When I woke up in your arms
and I felt myself, I'm freezing
thats unusual, more or less,
there's nothing left that's warm.

All the years we shared our dreams,
now I know it was a nightmare,
of your loving, more or less,
there's nothing left to loose.

All excuses, all your plights,
all your nice ideas, effusions of your mind
but I'll tell you for a thousand times:

I want you going down, just for one time.
I want you going down going down to the place
where you belong to.

CLOSE (We Stroke The Flames)(Lyrics)

We stroke the flames, we stroke the flames
We stroke the flames, we stroke the flames

They're creeping on through your mind,
Won't you think it over.
We know the scenes, they're marching on with torches,
peeping from inside.
with evil's eyes,
the ferris wheel is turning,
the tale is told again.
And if we don't care we end up all the same.

We stroke the flames, we never quenched all those years,
we should have learned from things which may come close.

We need to talk, time has come,
don't play it down, it's over.
We know their themes, it's creeping on with caution,
peeping from inside,
with evil's eyes,
the ferris wheel is turning,
the tale is told again.
And if we don't care we end up all the same.

Stranger Thoughts (Lyrics)

In the last few hundred years
some people lost their place on earth
they never had a chance
to stay just like they were
I can't understand why should this happen here
we should accept and learn
how to live together.

These are just some strangers thoughts

The reason for the pain
is always based on history
the madness in some minds
has started to do this all
I can't understand why should this happen here
we should accept and learn
how to live together.

These are just some strangers thoughts.

U-Bahn X - Young Hearts of Europe 12" (1985)

"Just snagged this killer 12'' from a shop in Brooklyn, so figured I'd kick the week off with a fresh rip. This 1985 single seems to be this German band's only release, and this particular 12'' hails from 1985 and consists of two killer dance remixes and an exclusive track, also remixed. Think Clan of Xymox, early Ministry, and other big beat classics. A 7'' containing the original versions of both tracks does exist, but I haven't tracked it down just yet. In the interim, here's the 12'' version, complete with an exclusive remix plucked from the Tribute to Flexi-Pop series."  (systemofperfprmance)
"Great songs from this obscure band U-Bahn X. I assume they are Germans because of the name but I could be wrong. These synth-driven songs got the unique arrangements guaranteed to please you ears. Their music is somewhat similar to Clan Of Xymox and early Ministry. Another hidden minimal band revealed!" (noisebox)

Young Hearts of Europe [Lyrics]

Rudi caught a train to Dusseldorf
Hope he gets there on time
Heidi's waiting at the station
And it's been a long long time

First love in Germany
With the young hearts of Europe
Blue eyes hold the mystery
Of the young hearts of Europe

Heidi fell in love with Rudi
At the disco on a Saturday night
Dancing to the Bommerlunder
Rudi held Heidi so tight

Heidi works in the Kaufhoff
Her ambition just to fall in love
Fall in love with a boy like Rudi
Under the stars above

Propaganda - A Secret Wish (1985 | 2010 Deluxe Edition)

A Secret Wish was the 1985 debut album of synthpop band Propaganda. Released by ZTT Records, it was produced by Stephen Lipson and label boss Trevor Horn. The singles "Duel" and "Dr. Mabuse" were both Top 30 UK chart hits. The track "p:Machinery" was also released as a single and was featured in an episode of the 80's TV show Miami Vice.

The highlight for collectors may be the first-ever appearance on CD of the contents of the 1985 “Do Well” tape, the cassette “singlette” version of “Duel” — the band’s sophomore single — that featured a 20-minute mix on each side that included “The First Cut,” “Duel,” “Jewel (Cut Rough),” “Wonder” and “Bejewelled”.

A Secret Wish has been cited as an inspiration by Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore, and generated the hit singles “Duel,” “p:Machinery” and “Dr. Mabuse,” the latter of which was included in John Hughes’ film “Some Kind of Wonderful” — and was accompanied by one of Anton Corbijn’s first music videos.

DUEL
Eye to eye stand winners and losers
Hurt by envy, cut by greed
Face to face with their own disillusion
The scars of old romances still on their cheeks

And when blow by blow the passion dies sweet little death
Just have been lies the memories of gone by time
Would still recall the lie

The first cut won't hurt at all
The second only makes you wonder
The third will have you on your knees
You start bleeding I start screaming

It's too late the decision is made by fate
Time to prove what forever should last
Whose feelings are so true as to stand the test
Whose demands are so strong as to parry all attempts

And when blow by blow the passion dies sweet little death
Just have been lies the memories of gone by time
Would still recall the lie

The first cut won't hurt at all
The second only makes you wonder
The third will have you on your knees
You start bleeding I start screaming

The first cut won't hurt at all
The second only makes you wonder
The third will have you on your knees
You start bleeding I start screaming

The first cut won't hurt at all
The second only makes you wonder
The third will have you on your knees
You start bleeding I start screaming

The first cut won't hurt at all
The second only makes you wonder
The third will leave you on your knees
You start bleeding I start screaming

The Best of Xmal Deutschland (2005)

Xmal Deutschland (pronounced: iks-mul doychlund) was a musical group from Hamburg, Germany. Founded in 1980 with a completely female line-up, they became successful outside their native country. The lead singer of the band is vocalist Anja Huwe. Xmal Deutschland's last album was released in 1989.

Biography [wiki]

Xmal Deutschland (often written as X-Mal Deutschland) was formed in 1980 by Anja Huwe (vocals), Manuela Rickers (guitar), Fiona Sangster (keyboards), Rita Simon (bass guitar) and Caro May (drums) in Hamburg, Germany. Their first single, "Großstadtindianer" was released a year later on Alfred Hilsberg’s ZickZack label. The band also contributed the to the label compilation Lieber Zuviel Als Zuwenig (ZZ 45). Around this time Rita Simon was replaced by Wolfgang Ellerbrock.

In 1982 the band released the Goth classic "Incubus Succubus". Drummer Caro May left the band and formed a new band, and the vacant drummer position was filled by Manuela Zwingmann the same year. While German audiences were less than receptive at first, a United Kingdom tour opening for the Cocteau Twins resulted in a label deal with independent label 4AD Records. Their debut album, Fetisch and the singles "Qual" and "Incubus Succubus II" were released in 1983, all 3 making the UK Independent charts, even though the band wrote and performed in German.

Manuela Zwingmann left the band after one year, being replaced by Peter Bellendir. This lineup, Huwe/Rickers/Sangster/Ellerbrock/Bellendir proved to be the longest running. 1984 saw the release of the single "Reigen" and the album Tocsin, followed by a world tour through 1985.

The Sequenz EP was essentially a remake of a John Peel session, which had been originally recorded April 30, 1985, and was broadcast May 13, 1985. The EP contained the tracks Jahr Um Jahr II, Autumn (the band’s first English lyrics, apart from brief snatches of English that appeared in Qual, Young Man and Tag für Tag) and Polarlicht but omitted Der Wind, which was played at the Peel sessions.

1986 saw the release of Matador, produced by Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers. Xmal Deutschland also opened for The Stranglers at a concert at Wembley Arena in London. Their follow-up album, Viva was recorded in Hamburg and was released in 1987, followed by the single "Sickle Moon". Viva contains a large number of English lyrics, among others a poem by Emily Dickinson. It was during this time that the band were interviewed by Jamie Meakes for the infamous underground Goth Fanzine 'House Of Dolls'.

After the release of Viva, Manuela Rickers, Fiona Sangster and Peter Bellendir left the group. Anja Huwe and Wolfgang Ellerbrock continue to work with Frank Z. (Abwärts) on guitar. Producer Henry Staroste played keyboards, and German studio drummer Curt Cress completed the line-up that would record the 1989 LP Devils and the singles "Dreamhouse" and "I’ll be near you". This also proved to be the last release of Xmal Deutschland, showing a change of direction towards mainstream pop. 1990 saw a few scattered live appearances by the group, but eventually the group split up

MATADOR
Oh was fur ein fest
Take the red carnation
Carina
Place it in your hair
La-la-la-la-run
To the arena
Give it to your matador

Matador....
Matador....
Matador....

Oh was fur ein fest
Spectacular
and in the avenidas
They celebrate the game
La-la-la-la-loud
about devotion or death
Matador

Matador....
Matador....
Matador....

Your grace and
Your pose
Knows only
One target
Legend and masquerade
For ever more
Gets wilder and wilder
Excited
Banderillas
Coloured knives are flashing
For the fight!

Oh celebrate
Take the red carnation
Carina
And throw it in the sand
La-la-la-launisch ist das gluck!

Matador....
Matador....
