Although in exile, the National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma is still supporting and working for the people of Myanmar. It was established in the winter of 1990 – the 18th of December.
Officially, the government in exile was disbanded on the 14th of December, 2012. However, its member are still activating for a better life in Myanmar.

The NCGUB is not an organization or a nonprofit body, but an actual government that was exiled in a country where human rights are not thoroughly respected.

The NCGUB was officially dissolved in 1995. It was part of multiple reforms taken by the military backed government from Burma.

How it all started and how we got here
Everything started in the winter of 1990, in the village of Manerplaw. The NLD and other opposition parties in Myanmar came up with the National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma.
Just five years later, a new version came out – the Democratic Government of Burma. However, it was structured and created in Bommersvik, Sweden. Ever since it was created, the government was led by Sein Win.
