Ruts DC v Mad Professor v Zion Train

This collection contains the Ruts DC & Mad Professor album RHYTHM COLLISION DUB VOL. 1 (1982) plus the remixed version by Zion Train RHYTHM COLLISION REMIX (1999).a re-release of Ruts DC's definitive punk/reggae fusion record Rhythm Collision Vol. 1. This version is further enhanced with five 12'' bonus and vocal remixes. Originally released on the band's own Bohemian Records, this album was immensely influential in UK punk/reggae circles, and was subsequently re-released on the New York Roir label.

i got this version on a cdr from camden dave unfortunately with no covers so ive had to use what i could find on the interweb.sorry about that.if anyone has the cover from this is there any chance they could scan and post somewhere for me?i do like to burn all the cds i get and have covers for them so that would be lovely.

ok then you can skank about slowly while you listen to this, enjoy the vibes, then walk to the computer and type a comment.thanks so much!

The Legendary Skatalites- In Dub

another posting from deep in the archives comes this 2001(?) re-release of "the skatalites meet king tubby".i didnt know too much about this when i got it so here is what ministry magazine had to say about it."the audaciously funky dub album of our dreams.mad phasing drum breaks, rolling acoustic basslines, skewed to hell analogue synths, and uplifting infectious party time buisness - its all here.stone cold classic 70's dub that will ignite any party lucky enough to have it."
so there you go then.just crank this all the way to 11 and let the good times roll.so i hope you enjoy this and then leave a comment on it.thanks!
to get the link please click on the post title.cheers!or alternatively if you have had problems with rapids***e then try this link instead.

Ruts DC - Animal Now

Another delicious re-post from the box labelled 'Repost these now please ' comes this album from Ruts DC.After the great vocalist Malcolm Owen's death from a heroin overdose in 1980, The Ruts added a "D.C." to their name, for "Da Capo" (meaning "back to the beginning) and recorded Animal Now in 1981. Adding sax man Gary Barnacle as a full time member and Paul Fox handling the vocals, Animal Now still features riveting songs and Foxy's amazing guitar work, but more jazz and reggae influences come to the fore. Dangerous Minds, Despondency and No Time To Kill are 3 of the standout songs here for me.This CD re-release of Animal Now contains 7 bonus tracks with demos and extended versions of various songs.so sit back, relax, play it loud, enjoy, then leave a comment.thanks!

Mikey Dread - The Peel Session

a 5 track peel session recorded (or at least broadcast)in 1982.ive not found much info on it except for the fact that the tracks listed on the back may possibly be the wrong tiles or in possibly the wrong order if you know what i mean.or not.ive seen it labelled in 2 different ways so im hoping that someone out there in interweb land might be able to point out any mistakes in the titles etc.anyway theres some great stuff on there so if your a fan of dub,and of mikeys work with the clash then youll like this.so i hope you listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

Bad Brains - I and I Survived (DUB)

this is the seventh album from hardcore punk legends Bad Brains.this album is largely instrumental and a mainly dub affair (but dont let that put you off !)with occasional journeys to their traditional hardcore punk side.kind of like one of their other albums but in reverse if you like.always a great band to listen to and to go and see live.they still do the odd tour to europe and beyond so go see them if you can.if you like this album you should definitely check out I against I a superb blending of face meltingly fast hardcore punk and great reggae tunes too.so listen, relax, enjoy and leave a comment.thanks!
