NBA
We all know about the obvious unbreakable NBA records. John Stockton's career assist and steals totals, LeBron's potential scoring record wherever that ends up, Michael Jordan having 10 scoring titles, ones like that. However, I stumbled across another seemingly unbreakable record currently owned by Derek Fisher, a record that is far less prestigious than the aforementioned ones.
This is a list of the 5 players with the most career games shooting under 30% from the field:
-
Derek Fisher, 425
-
Jason Kidd, 364
-
Robert Horry, 352
-
Jamal Crawford, 339
-
Brian Shaw, 321
As you can see, the gap between 1st and 2nd place is pretty large, and it's by far the largest gap anywhere on this list. The closest active player to Fisher in this state is PJ Tucker, the 2nd (I think) oldest player in the NBA, currently at 253 games. There's not a single player on a trajectory to even come close to Fisher's mark. The closest that I can find is Marcus Smart, who at 29 years old currently in his 10th season is at 174 games, but he would need to continue playing at his current rate for another like 15+ years in order to reach Fisher's mark.
Combine all that with the fact that the NBA today is more efficient than ever before, and I think it's safe to say that Derek Fisher's NBA record of most career games shooting under 30% from the field will never be broken.

So I got into basketball about a month or two ago and I'm in the UK so school started like two months ago and I've been playing with one of my Asian friends and he's just got a smooth controlled game so some of the year nines have started to call him 'liquid' as a nickname or a way to describe his game (we're in year 11) . I see where they're coming from because he's about five ten, pretty fast and strong but he's a guard with a good pump fake, good shooting, nice passing and finishing and he plays for the Essex under 16's team and it got me thinking - what NBA players do you think have a smooth game. Paul George, Kyrie, Tyrese Maxey and Ingram come to mind for me and I was just wondering what players you guys thought of.
The bias of refs against Dreymond Green and the Warriors was so obvious in last nights' game. Since when can refs go back several plays to give a opposing player and "excuse" to tackle a player during the game? Did the advertising sponsors need more time to run ads? Were the refs making sure their side bets won? Our family does not watch television shows anymore, and if this is what the New NBA is about, we'll be skipping watching even basketball as it now is like "reality tv", all manufactured events.
Another great night for me. If you played fultz i fucking feel your pain so much. it happened to me 2 times already this season. just absolute fucking bullshit. Hopefully some of you avoided and had some good night.

My example is that I attended a basketball camp when I was younger and Willie Green was visiting. He asked if anybody wanted to play him 1 on 1 and the challenger was the #1 high school recruit in NY state at the time. I swear to god Willie Green looked like Michael Jordan out there. Cooked him like a steak.
Another example is I played with Lance Stephenson on a playground when he was in high school. He was playing in slides and wrecked every single person on the court. I think he hit 7 threes in a row during one of the games.
Anybody got any stories? Doesn’t have to be NBA players.
The whole thing about whether they can look to the previous play, or whether Mitchell should have gotten a tech too, is actually irrelevant to why the ejection was improper, because refs can't call a technical foul on live ball contact.
Section V—Conduct
An official may assess a technical foul, without prior warning, at any time. A technical foul(s) may be assessed to any player on the court or anyone seated on the bench for conduct which, in the opinion of an official, is detrimental to the game. The technical foul must be charged to an individual. A technical foul cannot be assessed for physical contact when the ball is alive.
EXCEPTION: Fighting fouls and/or taunting with physical contact.

Draymond's foul (had it been called properly) would have been a personal (common or flagrant 1/2), not a technical. Which means unless it was a flagrant 2, he shouldn't have been ejected.
It's straight up against the rules to give a tech for pushing Mitchell during the play. The refs actually fucked this one up because they don't know the rules. I hope the league addresses this in some way.
Lol so do I. And it turned out to be the complete reverse. Another reminder that we don't know shit around here but gotta just buckle in and trust the process. Feels good to finally have a real NBA level center.
