Katita café is now open on the main level of WAG-Qaumajuq.

Dine indoors at Katita, steps away from the Visible Vault, and on the seasonal patio, or take snacks to go. A rich, red mural entitled Nēhiyaw (Swampy Cree) by local artist Peatr Thomas was commissioned especially for the café.

At Katita you can have a coffee, tea, or some light bites, including options for kids — see the Katita Cafe menu here.

Katita [kah-tee-tah] means “let’s get together” in Inuktitut.

WAG-Qaumajuq recognizes that land acknowledgements are part of an ongoing dialogue with Indigenous Nations, and we are grateful to live and work on these lands and waters. Institutionally, WAG-Qaumajuq is committed to acknowledging our colonial history and we are actively working to interrogate the Gallery’s colonial ways of being. Read about some of our ongoing projects to interrupt the institution.
