Hope the weekend treated us all well! We're back today with a beautiful 12 game slate, with what appears to be a wild one. My goal is to help you digest some of the news, and find some plays to get you into the green. I post news throughout the day in comments so keep checking back.
Point Guard is the main shitshow culprit tonight but there is plenty of value to be had. SGA, Kyrie, Luka are all Questionable to play, and Jamal Murray, Cj McCollum, Deaaron Fox, Derrick White, and Markelle Fultz are all out. Let's say everyone sits for simplicity sake.
Cason Wallace $4200 got the start for SGA last time out, but despite his 36 minutes, didn't do much. 36 minutes is nice though. He's absolutely in play. Isiah Joe at $3900 got some run, but literally only shoots 3s. He'll need to make 6 or 7 to get there from a fantasy standpoint. There are better options. Josh Giddey at $7700 was disappointing sans SGA, but Dort $5600 was eating. In 47 career games without SGA, Dort averages 18/4/2. Really solid play. Chet at $8000 is a monster. I'm 100% done with worrying about matchups for the guy. 8k might even be on the cheap side, especially if SGA is out. This game has a 241 TOTAL and a "Pickem" Spread. You can play 2-3 OKC guys easily if SGA sits, and run it back with some ATL guys like an $8800 Trae Young, and whichever Hawk wing/big between the 5 and 6k range tickles your fancy. There are 7 of them LOL.
The Dallas/Orlando game could turn into some really gross chalk. The entire report includes Magics Fultz OUT, Gary Harris OUT, Wendell Carter OUT, Jonathan Isaac Q, and Luka Q, Kyrie Q, and Maxi Kleber Q for the Mavs. Last game out we saw the Magic start $4700 Anthony Black at PG, and he played well enough to probably get that again. His usage isn't right for that price though. Instead look to go back to Paolo Banchero $7900 and Franz Wagner $7300. I prefer Franz here, but both can EAT tonight. Suggs $5900 and Anthony $5800 are solid plays, but not must haves. Joe Ingles $3600 has gotten 24 minutes in their last two games and if Isaac sits should easily see that again. Not a huge usage guy, but mid 20s minutes for a minimum dude is appealing. On the Dallas side Jaden Hardy at $3800 is the play. He's gotten 14 minutes/game with both Luka and Kyrie playing, and if both sit that could jump to 30. He has 10x+ Value potential. Josh Green $4500 and THJ $5500, also enter the fold if one or both of those guys are out. But I'm all over Hardy, maybe even if one sits. Some potential value at Center here too, with Bitadze $4800 and Mo Wagner $5100. I also like Lively $5600 a lot more if Kleber sits. This game has some serious intrigue.
The Kings were an extreme disappointment in their last game vs the Rockets w/o Fox. I find it hard to believe they do so again, but the prices aren't that viable. I think Malik Monk is still in play at $5500, and Keegan Murray $6500 is a tournament play, but isn't safe. Keegs is really struggling from the field this season. I think you look to this game on a smaller slate, but don't need it here, even with one of the biggest usage guys in the league sitting in Fox.
As I was writing this, Boston added Kristaps Porzingis to the Injury Report. He is now Q with an eye. Should he and White both sit out (White is OUT already), the Boston side becomes even more intriguing. Jayson Tatum at $10400 has been a machine, averaging 30/9/4 to start the year. He can easily pop on any given night, and I'm curious to see what his ownership looks like on such a large slate. Could be a great play here. Jrue Holiday at $7000, likely to see close to 40 minutes again is also a great place to look. If you end up on Jaylen Brown $7800 that's totally fine too. Minny has been great on Defense, but I think that there's not a team in the league capable of slowing down even a slightly injured Boston squad right now.
No CJ and no Jamal for this Pels/Nuggets matchup. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kira Lewis $3600 get the start, or at least a solid bump in his minutes. Dyson Daniels $4400 and Jordan Hawkins $4200 also likely get a boost in minutes, and are totally super decent plays. Not better than decent though. I like BI at $8100 to pick up the majority of the playmaking, and even think he's pairable with Zion at $8000. Big Government (Reggie Jackson) $4200 should slide right into the starting lineup for the Nuggies, KCP $4500 should see a few more shots too. Christian Braun $4500 and Peyton Watson $3900 could benefit from some extra mins and MPJ $6300 and AG $6000 arent seeing the price jumps they should. They reached 7x on this price in both of their last two games and are plenty capable of doing so again. Not like you need reason but Jokic averages 24/12/8 vs Joval over 17 games in his career, and averages 26/12/8 in 129!! games without Jamal. Sure $11800 is expensive, but there's plenty of value out there today.
There are two other matchups I want to bring attention to. The first being the Spurs@Pacers. This game has a 238 total and the Spurs are running thin (pun intended). Devin Vassell is OUT and Keldon Johnson is Questionable. There is some blowout risk with a 9 point spread on the Pacer side, but if this game gets to its total and remains close throughout, it's because of Victor Wembanyama at $8500 and Zach Collins at $6600, both have been fantastic lately. Sochan $6100 and Tre Jones $5700 are solid plays if Johnson sits. My favorite becomes Cedi Osman at $4000, if there's no Keldon. Malaki Branham $4700 saw 25 minutes last time out and would likely see a little bump if Keldon sits. Totally in play. Predicting the Pacers is near impossible. I like Myles Turner here at $7600 and Haliburton $9800 is a good play every day of the week.
Milwaukee @ Brooklyn really catches my eye. If you've been following this season , the Bucks defense is far from the same. Check out what guards have been doing to them on my Friday post, and add Brunsons 40 burger to that list. Despite my best judgement, and distrust, Cam Thomas $7100 is a fantastic play. I really like Spencer Dinwiddie $6600 and Lonnie Walker $4800 too on the Brooklyn side. The price tags of $8700 and $10300 for Dame and Gianni's are on the low side, but the Bucks haven't been firing on all cylinders of late. Both are great tournament plays at these prices, and the 5 point spread makes me like those two even more. This game should be high scoring and stay close in Vegas's opinion and if it does, could be a fantasy goldmine. Brook Lopez at $5900 is in a fantastic spot vs the Nets lack of size, Khris Middleton $5900 showed brief signs of life vs the Knicks, breaking the 20 minute ceiling for the first time this year. DFS $5100 is a lock for 30+ minutes and will need to hit his shots. High floor, low ceiling play, but totally fine.
B.O.L tonight and check back for updates in the comments.

There have been a few football players with physical handicaps, such as Tom Dempsey, who was born without toes or fingers on his right side. Or more recently, Shaquem Griffin, who had a birth defect with the fingers on his left hand (which was amputated when he was a child).
Has there ever been an NBA player with some sort of physical handicap or deformity?
We all know Kawhi started slow last season coming back from his ACL Injury but from January until the end of the season we all saw how good he was. He wasn't just looking as good as he was pre injury he was actually looking even better. At that point I knew a full season of fully healthy Kawhi would result in a ring and I was confident he would get the MVP award the next season.
I also made a thread last season saying Kawhi comes into every new season with something he greatly improved and I theorized this time he would come in with crazy new and improved 3 point shooting. So far it's looking like I was right, his 3 is looking amazing and I know it's a small sample size but he's currently shooting 47.2% at the 3.
On top of that we never had a good point gaurd facilitator for the majority of the 213 era. But now we have a full season of not just westbrook but also James Harden who is one of the best facilitators in the NBA and was a large part of why Embiid got MVP last season. So that's another thing Kawhi good benefit from.
I just feel like all the pieces are there for Kawhi to go on a tear this season and win the MVP award. Kawhi is an all time great but regular season success and no MVP is the main thing people hold against him. So once he achieves that they'll have nothing they can say, they'll have to agknowledge his greatness.
If Kawhi doesn't win the MVP this season I have a feeling Paul George will and PG will benefit from all these things I stated as well.
