when christina ricci got dragged across the floor 😭😭😭😭

[–]fakeaf1 73 points74 points  (2 children)

Honestly never thought I would see an homage to [REC] in a music video

[–]mansonfamily 53 points54 points  (0 children)

And The Shining. And about a million other iconic horror films. I’m living and this era is GIVING so far

[–]UnicornPonyPorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

genuinely shocked that it got referenced during 2023. it's like seeing xavier renegade angel memes lmao

[–]alt_sauce124 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Literally my wig from watching this video

[–]SgtPopNFresh_ 158 points159 points  (1 child)

Great video to watch at night in my dark bedroom right before I go to sleep lol

[–]tapchik 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen the video yet, you guys hype it up for me a lot! I’ll definitely watch it at night!!

[–]WakaFlockhart 208 points209 points  (1 child)

The second verse she ate up. I wish she would have workshopped the first verse a bit.

[–]Lickmytitsorwe 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Agree!!! I like half of this song lol

[–]lockezwill 190 points191 points  (2 children)

I really want to hear Rico Nasty on this track.

[–]spikethroughmyheart 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I thought of Rico Nasty too! But

[–]Rakebleed 29 points30 points  (0 children)

remix?

[–]eternallatake 147 points148 points  (6 children)

Most artists now release all the MVs in 4K including Doja too but this one is 1080p? 😭😭 This definitely needed a 4K video more than the others omg

[–]spikeandsilver 50 points51 points  (1 child)

Fr wtf! Especially since the lighting was so low throughout the whole video, some parts of her in the dark just looked low quality

[–]tvshowloverx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ok I couldn’t tell if it was my internet or not lol but yeah the dark parts were rly low quality

[–][deleted] 39 points40 points  (3 children)

CG in 4K takes about 4 times as long time to render as 1080p.

So either it was necessary in order to meet the deadline, or it was needed for the budget.

[–]wikipediaimage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably a budget thing because Christina was in the video

[–]MutinyIPO 3 points4 points  (1 child)

No way they didn’t render a 4K version, even if it was just for internal use. I worked in a post house a few years ago and even then working from 1080p would’ve been very unusual. At the very least, Doja and the director would’ve been pissed if they didn’t get a 4K deliverable.

My bet is it’s just the same reason most movie trailers are posted in 1080p - they want the video to look the same when it’s reposted on any platform. Facebook vids that you scroll past, Instagram reels, Twitter vids, etc. none of them can be 4K. If the source video isn’t as high res, compression isn’t gonna kick its ass as hard.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the movie industry and let me tell you most of the movies you see in cinema is 2K (close to 1080p). Avengers: infinity war? That wasn't in 4k because it's that much more time consuming and expensive.

Honestly I don't know what you did at the post house but I doubt it was anything related to CGI.

[–]LMNavy 105 points106 points  (0 children)

The demon grills are incredible lol She better open the VMAs with this.

[–]bunnybear32 87 points88 points  (2 children)

oh christina ricci ate DOWN

[–]alt_sauce124 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Prrrr

[–]satirisantithe light is cumming in my ass no protection 👶 197 points198 points  (0 children)

Idk about y’all but I loved the song and video. So loud, punchy, ridiculous, and fun. The video was also great, loved all the scares and classic horror elements.

[–]stypopAdeletubbies 107 points108 points  (4 children)

Definitely loved Doja’s direction in this, however I feel like she could’ve utilized Ricci. Love to see her fully committing to the horror concept for this album rollout. I don’t think I’ve felt this excited (and slightly terrified) for an artist’s “dark era” since WWAFAWDWG.

[–]DMheX93 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I feel like there should have been more interaction between them. Like the tub scene should have had Christina in the tub… water turns black… Doja pops up behind her from under the water… grabs her head and Christina’s eyes turn grey.

[–]outsideeyess 11 points12 points  (2 children)

I was hoping for a bit more action and dialogue before and after the song, since it was getting so many Thriller comparisons from the trailer

[–]egg_mugg23hee hee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hmm i don't see the thriller comparisons, this is much closer to actual horror

[–]SubatomicSquirrels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe we'll get an extended cut in the next few days? I think artists have done that before. Actually no, I think it usually goes the other way. Never mind

[–]babydonttalk 134 points135 points  (1 child)

The visuals this era are everything but damn, I’m scared af 🫣 Love the song! It’s stupid & goofy in the best kinda way.

[–]tapchik 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Stupid and goofy in the best way, on brand for Doja! Can’t wait to watch the music video after work!

[–]Redxcted999 78 points79 points  (2 children)

I see the vision and I understand what she’s trying to say she did say she wanted to rap more…video def gonna Anger/scare some people with the demon imagery even though there references....but I think paint the town red is more catchy imo

[–]Alive-Ad-4164 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The truth is YouTube channel gonna pass out

[–]outsideeyess 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She probably released this one while PTTR was doing so well because its not gonna challenge its success, like Olivia with Bad Idea Right? and Vampire. It's to keep up hype (especially for the fans) and not to replace focus from the hit

[–]ExpressionWorth4022 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Rico Nasty would kill this

[–]christopher_aia I blame it on your JUICE 54 points55 points  (1 child)

The video was GREAT; I love it when an artist goes all out with a concept.

The song needs to grow on me a bit tho. Some of the rap is CLUNKY, but I think she's trying to do it on purpose.

[–]Jerfhaus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I refuse to believe that wasnt a stylistic choice.

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Seizure warning AF on that video y’all

[–]surejan94 180 points181 points  (11 children)

One of her coolest videos ever with some of her worst rapping ever. Defs can't see this one being a hit but glad she's having fun!

[–]SexyTacoLlama 53 points54 points  (4 children)

I don’t mind the sound but it sounds like that one Justin Bieber song to me where he’s like “I’m a Pisces”

[–]BCDragon3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh my god i knew this was reminding me of something

[–]weirdogirl144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THATS the perfect comparison omg😭

[–]Peach-e_Keen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

listened to the song for the first time today and thought the same exact thing!! video is incredible tho

[–]9874102365 60 points61 points  (1 child)

Honestly I love this song. I don't get why everyone hates it. It's definitely not a serious song and goes for comedy in the first verse and more of an off beat talk rap in the second. But it just works so well for me.

The video is great. The visuals were stunning, the demons were creepy as fuck.

[–]__life_on_mars__ 88 points89 points  (0 children)

They're not hating because it's not serious enough. They're hating because the bars and flow are weak as fuck. If this was the first song of hers I'd heard I'd genuinely assume she literally couldn't rap for shit.

[–]yeah-sure-ok 23 points24 points  (3 children)

I just bought a limousine!

EDIT: That’s the moment I turned it off

[–]BronzeErupt 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Ok but what if the demon rents out the limo to groups of high school students on prom night but instead of driving them around town so they can get drunk and scream out the window, the demon drives them straight to a place where no one can hear their screams?

[–]donniepromise 31 points32 points  (0 children)

wtf u on homie

[–]autoportret 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's giving Nine Inch Nails' 'Starfuckers'

[–]Sas1205x 12 points13 points  (2 children)

As someone else mentioned the first person I thought of was Rico Nasty. I definitely like this new direction.

[–]32MegaBytes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s like Rico Nasty’s laziest work mixed with a Kendrick Lamar rough demo… but the beat is okay

[–]CowboyLikeMegan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shit yes, I adore Rico

[–]swanfaerie88 12 points13 points  (0 children)

this video is so great but the song is atrocious and i’m not a Doja hater 😭 the lyrics and flow are so weak.

[–]AHSWeeknd 52 points53 points  (1 child)

Oof I wish this was longer, giving us a plot, a backstory, Shining references. Doja is seriously a visionary with her music.

[–]outsideeyess 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd love Jennifer Coolidge playing a realtor selling the family the house, maybe Chris Evans is a cheating father who sneaks out in the middle of the night to see his mistress, the kids notice weird things on the television but their parents don't believe them, and then at the end we see a new family move in, and this time its Doja Cat with a wig and all her tattoos covered up selling them the house, then she looks to the camera and her eyes turn black (reference to Thriller)

[–]Plopklik 26 points27 points  (1 child)

I wish the video could have been longer. Like how big artists used to do it in the 80s (Thriller) or most videos Gaga made earlier in her career. I feel like this could have been given a proper MTV World Premiere Video-esque treatment. It's just so aesthetically haunting and wonderful I wanted a whole ass short film off of it.

[–]PlanetAtTheDisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, this video is only topping out at like four minutes. I went and looked at Alejandro’s music video and it’s nearly nine.

[–]Ifuckedupcrazy 48 points49 points  (1 child)

Wish the beat was at least good, wish the hook was good, pretty meh, is she just gonna say “I do what I want I’m a bad bitch I don’t care what you say” for the whole album? I hope not, I was hoping when she said she was gonna move away from the commercial sound that shed at least try to be good at this new stuff but it’s just falling flat

[–]Battle_for_the_sun 17 points18 points  (0 children)

she's way too salty about all the fights she gets on twitter and can't get over it. It was already tedious on the first single but we're at the 3rd one and she's still whining about it

[–]Galadriel909 38 points39 points  (18 children)

So many references in the video! I saw Shining, The ring and Hereditary. And I'm not sure but maybe Yellowjackets (attic with the window) and The witch?

The shot from above in the bath and the car hitting the "for sale" sign reminded me of shots I already saw in movies as well but I can't say which ones exactly...

[–]aaron-a-a 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The part where Christina Ricci gets taken away on the floor reminds me of Rec as well!

[–]chantosjr 25 points26 points  (1 child)

Poltergeist with the kids watching the TV and the many chairs on the dining table

[–]Rakebleed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pulling out of the driveway and hitting the for sale sign is straight from the end of Poltergeist.

[–]_Nilbog_Milk_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Exorcist with Christina helplessly in bed with a pretty nightgown as the demons danced on the ceiling

[–]skeeturz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was definitely largely Poltergeist! I saw some Shining and Exorcist there too...and dare I say a hint of Sinister and The Witch? Some people get tired of rapid succession references but I feel in the scope of the song and the video it really works.

[–]koalagirl1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely Paranormal Activity as well, with the stove catching fire and cabinets opening.

[–]TouristImaginary4622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a moment that seemed like Skinamarink to me too

[–]brandaflakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also Blair witch?!?!

[–]sexy-911-calls 79 points80 points  (6 children)

The thing I don’t quite get about Doja this era is… She keeps talking about how her previous albums were sellout efforts, how this is the real her blah blah… And for what? Where is the message or the meaning in her songs? It’s like she wants to adopt a rebellious/ punk aesthetic, but the lyrics are still corny and nonsensical. The packaging has been remodelled but the product is the same.

[–]TRASHY-gurami 49 points50 points  (2 children)

The cash grab comments were just to piss people off imo. If there’s one thing Doja is gonna do it’s troll

[–]praxass 6 points7 points  (1 child)

It baffles me how seriously people took those tweets when she was so obviously trolling. Like enough with the same comments over and over again

[–]ahmedXCX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its actually driving me crazy how many people are saying the same comment as if it was an original thought that no one has expressed before like shut up already… its been said 10000000000 times like we get it

[–]layla_jones_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s still super commercial, I don’t get it either

[–]Jerfhaus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's super convenient that punk-alt sounds are hot right now and that also just happens to be more authentically her 😑 Also her first two singles off this are not super different from anything she put out before.

[–]Robivennas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this means she was just trolling the whole time lmao

[–]impeccabletimpop music will never be low brow[S] 32 points33 points  (3 children)

Black demon Doja looks really scary omg. I still prefer her bloody Scarlet look from the "Attention" MV out of all her current era's MVs. Also liked that the MV was basically at tribute to Paranormal Activity. Doja fully embracing the horror concept and I'm here for it.

[–]UltimateKing9898 21 points22 points  (2 children)

It is interesting that the Scarlet character hasn't (?) appeared in this vid, I wonder if it'll get a full moment with an album drop MV

[–]BoomYouLooking 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I kept expecting the camera to turn around after the family drove off to reveal Scarlet watching the house.

[–]outsideeyess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id love an 8-minute extended version of this music video to premiere at the VMAs

[–]Xanimede 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The mixing on this song is so unsatisfying, her voice is muted and muffed. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I swear they have the volume on her voice changing rapidly, it keeps falling and rising cyclically.

And what's up with that childish anime voice in the first verse? It does not match this (sick) beat at all.

I'm still streaming because it's really fun, but I do wish the mixing elevated her voice.

[–]hoepapi 47 points48 points  (12 children)

god this song sucks but great video

[–]Alvin3792 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love it

[–]murlocmancer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved it, not a song meant to be a hit, which makes sense with Paint the Town Red doing well and having time to climb still. This album is looking and sounding great.

And honestly Doja might have some of the best visuals of artist that have come from the past 5 years. Like honestly who compares? I can't really think of any.

[–]yeahsureYnot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Christina Ricci is a national treasure

[–]whiskersRwe32 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This was good but damn, I was really expecting some kind of storyline and dialogue/acting from Christina MF RICCI!

[–]Feeling-Soft1917 27 points28 points  (1 child)

im kinda over these weak ass trap beats so this song is a pass. i really want to like any song/MV with a horror vibe but these new doja songs just aren't grabbing me

[–]squigglyliggily 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I like paint the town red, but I'm sorry this is so corny and generic. It would be great with a more experimental hard-hitting beat, but it's just boring trap 🫤

[–]HeyHiHello365 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just in time for the Halloween season

[–]bananakin94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol this era of hers is so cringe. Im all for artist evolution but this dark satanic imagery is so corny and tryhard. You can make angry abrasive music without having to dress up like a demon or covering yourself in blood. Its just a little too on the nose for me. Like we get it, youre dark and edgy now

[–]oofydoofy74 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wow. I’ve never cared for Doja Cat before, but I’m loving this era for her. All the songs and videos are great to me.

Hopefully she will change that dreadful album cover again because otherwise she’s gonna lose out on sales. I would love to buy the album on vinyl but I refuse to let that image into my household!!!

[–]te4rdr0p 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Video is very well made but also... disappointingly tame and vapid. Like is this really what gets people going these days ? Is this what's considered subversive or shocking now ? It's... kinda corny imo. Especially since the music is so bland and generic and vapid as well. She keeps disappointing

[–]jicuhrabbitkimsupport smol bizneses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Watching this in the dark while lying bed in this gloomy weather, the music video lowkey freaked me out 😭 Her best music video

[–]32MegaBytes 5 points6 points  (2 children)

This song is so incredibly bad?? I actually think the beat is okay but it sounds extremely unfinished. The lyrics sound like they were effected by the writers strike with the ONLY content being towards the end. It’s like the very first draft of a scrapped Kendrick Lamar song from 2017. I don’t understand how Doja is doing such a bad job with this album. Paint the town red was album-filler vibes but it’s the best release so far. Maybe she was trying to be Rico Nasty but badly???

[–]leomacrosss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Effected by the writers strike” I’m CACKLING, your whole comment is spot on.

[–]thebennubird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your opinion is bad

[–]Nitsua-Nat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was feeling okay about the song, but the video definitely elevates it as a whole for me. I think once I got she was not taking herself so seriously, I think, I definitely got into the song more.

[–]onegildedbutterfly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the song but this video is great

[–]spikethroughmyheart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay her visuals have been amazing every video and this one isn’t the exception. But finally a song I love this era! I love how agressive and punchy it is. Now we’re back in the game. This single has connected the most with me. Love it

[–]CowboyLikeMegan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The song is growing on me, I’ve listened three times now and I initially thought it was a bit anti-climactic but I’m starting to enjoy it more. Probably a grower for me.

Aesthetically though, this is it for me. My favorite genre is horror and this was everything, loved all of the references and thought the cinematography was fantastic. She actually looks more effective than a lot of demons in film lol

[–]Wingard_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kinda dig the song. I think it's more interesting than PTTR, at least. Really, I think she could've gone even harder and kookier with it. A feature from Rico Nasty or Ashnikko would elevate the song as would better lyrics.

Again, loved the music video. It would've been cool if the music video was about 3-4 min longer with a complete storyline.

Also, it was so polite of demon Doja to close the refrigerator door lol Got to save on that electricity bill.

[–]LittleBlackQueen22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw someone else saying that they like the second verse more than the first one and I’m glad somebody else put it into words. The flow in that second verse alone trumps the rest of the song. I see a bunch of her fans claiming that it’ll be a grower so I guess I’ll see if it catches on after a few more listens.

Video-wise, LOVE the visuals. I’ve said this before but visuals have always been one of the strongest tools she has at her disposal. The horror imagery and theme she’s leaning into seem to be well embodied with this. That being said, I’m chuckling a bit at the comments saying that this’ll cause outrage: apart from the typical Fox News crowd that’ll spontaneously combust if they even see devil horns, nothing in this video is that groundbreaking or outrageous or provocative. It’s just a well-made horror themed music video: sometimes things can just be that😂

[–]negropolitan 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Feel like there was a lot more she could have done with this concept, but not surprising since she has such a boring song to work with.

Attention is the most interesting video of this era so far while PTTR has the most visually pleasing one. I don't know what this is. Just feels like the horror film references didn't have an interesting end or twist behind them.

And this song thematically and lyrically is no different from the other singles. "I'm a real rapper. I'm annoying and annoyed. I'm getting all the dick." Congratulations, I guess?

This album is definitely going to be mixed.

[–]EcstaticNoise5434 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love the video but I’m am a sucker for horror so no surprises. That being said her rapping is really bad in the first verse, ‘What are those’ takes me out every time and just stunts the momentum of the song. Thankfully the chorus is heavy and hits hard. The song could have been more experimental with the scream rapping from the chorus peppered into the verses. Overall, I appreciate Doja for giving us a proper era with 3 distinct songs and high quality videos. She has put her heart into this project and I hope it’s a fulfilling project for her.

[–]alt_sauce124 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like this! Remind me of Kanye in his MBDTF era— kinda wish this was the first single and video or like the initial tease single and Paint The Town Red was the true lead

[–]Colten95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

shaping up to be an incredible album!!!

[–]Silver_Branch3034 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original leak kinda left me 50/50 on this but hearing the full version this morning and I really liked it. The biggest fault is her voice in the first verse but otherwise it’s different, unlike her other music, pretty fun, punchy, and I respect she’s doing what she wants and doesn’t care what others may think of it.

If the rest of the record is anything like these first three singles I think I may really end up enjoying it. Fingers crossed.

[–]Careless_Put_6739 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually love her new era

[–]ChopChopBirch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely a choice! Like, choices I make when I’m off my rocket on two Zolpidem in front of my fridge at 2:00AM

[–]lifeaftermutation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the song i imagined in my head from the promotional materials and controversy vs the actual song are uh.... very different. maybe she should start working with rico nasty again

[–]Requiem45 14 points15 points  (6 children)

Everyone who was complaining her new music sounded the same is real quiet now

[–]Ifuckedupcrazy 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It’s different but worse imho

[–]Battle_for_the_sun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah they fell asleep

[–]exp_studentID 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right

[–]brellowman2 1 point2 points  (2 children)

This is a silly comment that I see parroted for so many artists. Yes, up until this specific song the things she put out before were very reminiscent of previous projects. This one being different doesn't discount that fact.

[–]champagnehomo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Video was dope. I don’t mind the song, maybe it would have felt less #inspired if it had just an actual Keem feature on it 💀.

I feel if she dropped this out of nowhere it would be much cooler because I do enjoy hearing her perspective on the industry/fame and the video is good, the two months of forced controversies are marring it a bit for me rn.

[–]dagon890 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Everything about the visuals from this era have been immaculate.

It’s literally a pop history first to have one of the girlies fully lean on horror elements for an era, and I could not be eating it up more than I am.

I LOVE this.

[–]MonitorCreative 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I hate when people compare things, but if you like this era you might like Ashnikko. They have a similar vibe. https://youtu.be/VbQrhOWkonk?si=LE2SWdA6x63YB4ej

[–]Pmj12343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashnikko wrote her song Boss Bitch. Wish they would have gone on tour like they planned before covid

[–]LifeOfAWimpyKid 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Doja will eventually go down as one of the best video artists ever

[–]Battle_for_the_sun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol, no

[–]LifeOfAWimpyKid 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Okay this doesn't sound anything like her old material so hopefully y'all are finally convinced she really is going in a new direction.

[–]Battle_for_the_sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

her old material was at least good, this shit is mediocre

[–]WordsWithSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool so she just took my teenage sleep paralysis experience and made a video of it 😭😭😭

[–]lovesocialmedia 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I can hear Rico Nasty or Doechii on this

[–]ScienceNeverLies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m scared

[–]ecjerome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not mad at it

[–]lunahighwind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this

[–]Repulsive_Tear4528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is anyone else getting Flo Milli vibes?

[–]Commonjac 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Doja sleep paralysis demon was mad scary at first, like the chains looked like a massive jaw in the first shot. But I'm sorry, when it got to the first verse I couldnt stop laughing💀

I love that she's being so different with her delivery and it's fun, but that whole first verse got me thinking of Bella Poarch tiktoks or cosplayers

like, this but "we are enemies, we are foes~~"

[–]negropolitan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

like the chains looked like a massive jaw in the first shot.

Yea I really liked this effect. Was such a cool trick especially if done on purpose.

[–]bloodshugababe 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I have a very controversial opinion that will probably get me dragged to hell but I think that Scarlet will be this generation’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

[–]Jhbblove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You trippin

[–]InternationalPut3250 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you okay..?

[–]VincibleFir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I watch too much horror stuff but the video this song was so damn boring. I usually like Doja but this was a miss for me sadly.

[–]Alive-Ad-4164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doja top 2 female rap artist rn

[–]SaltyFlowerChild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So she bit Kendrick on Attention and now it’s Baby Keem? This is increasingly corny. It reminds me of Logic - ‘oh I’m going to rap for real now’ and then just copy and pasting other rappers.

[–]mattysmwift 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of these replies…This sub is really turning into annoying stan twitter.

[–]Uplanapepsihole 3 points4 points  (4 children)

sorry but every since someone said it sound like that justine bieber song it’s all i hear

[–]SubatomicSquirrels 5 points6 points  (0 children)

justine bieber

I'm going to assume this is an unintentional typo and not a throwback to an old, immature joke.

[–]Cherbeary 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Which one? Lmao

[–]Wingard_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I Feel Funny" lol

[–]SubatomicSquirrels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are comparing it to I Feel Funny

Why does she sound like Nicki all of a sudden? She just wants to recreate Monster now?

Honestly this feels very in her lane, I know about 3 old Doja demos that give this vibe, No a huge fan of the track but the visuals slapped and I can see lots of religious folks getting triggered and drumming up attention.

Yeah I don’t know what’s going on with her anymore. I feel like her label controls her life now.

[–]razorsharp3000You're the visuals baby! 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great visuals! As for the song, well maybe it is a grower :P

Maybe my expectations were too high but I did not like this 😭. Just kind of boring and grating on the ear for me
