NFL
Watching the NLCS tonight and saw a relatively slow guy steal a base and got to thinking. Who or which sport in general has the fastest athletes? Is it the NFL? Now this doesn't include track athletes as I know Bolt has recorded a top speed of over 27mph and even college track stars are routinely faster than the quickest in the NFL.
So is it the NFL, Soccer, Baseball, etc? I always assumed soccer would have the fastest players but quick Google shows even Mbappe who to my eyes is insanely fast only has a top recorded speed of 22.3 mph.
And are there any recorded times for all time speedsters like Ricky Henderson? Bo Jackson? Is Tyreek the fastest ever?
On your mark, get set, go!
Welcome to the Reddit home of the 6-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots of the National Football League.
Football is generally known as the league with the most parody parity because of the draft+salary cap (though we've seen this can be offset with franchise QBs), while baseball with a looser salary cap and a less consequential draft makes it more like European soccer.
However this year's world series is featuring two teams who were among the league's worst just two years prior.
What's the closest NFL equivalent?
If there's too much grief and Jim goes , and Lincoln dives off also , what's the hot names for USC and Michigan and what kind of a domino effect happens
(and maybe I'm leaving out another major school with hot seat/vacancy likely also)

In 2016, Christian McCaffrey set the single season record for receptions by a running back with 116 catches.
Alvin Kamara has 35 receptions through 4 games this year (8.75 receptions per game). If he were to maintain his current pace for the Saints' remaining 10 games, he'd finish with 123 catches.
We're getting to the over the hump part of the season, r/NFL, and we're no closer to figuring out half of these teams' identities. Happy Halloween week, everyone! I hope all of you get dressed up in some amazing costumers, get big sized candy, and have a great team win. We had a lot of upsets last week, and I was barely able to predict close to halfway on these games, going 6-7 and bringing me to 65-41 on the season. How did everyone else do? We only have four division games this week with some more cross-conference games lined up. But strangely enough, there are no byes in Week 8, halfway through the season. Let's get to it!
Those are my predictions, let's hear yours. Keep it civil and fun. Best of luck!
If you want to learn more about the NFL, this is the place. There are no stupid questions!
I started watching NFL this month and generally find it entertaining. However, the longer the game goes on—and the more ad breaks shown—I begin to lose interest.
I’m wondering what you do during those 3, 6, 9+ hours watching football every weekend.
Are you on the edge of your seat?
On your phone?
Playing a video game?
Just listen to commentary?
Is there something you do that eliminates the boredom which arises from constant pauses?
Purely because of the breaks in play, I can’t imagine watching NFL in the same way I do soccer. I’d like to be someone who’s fully invested in games…but I’m not sure the sport is designed to be watched intently for hours and hours.

Disclaimer, I also really dislike the bias to him, just saying.
Its been a few years now of the media just pushing him as the best defender and the advanced metrics darling. Its time to get over it. Watt has the better end result stats and its not even close. Garret apparently 'wins' his pass rushes more, but can't close and get the sacks and TFL like Watt or others do. Cool. Let him be the guy that can start a play great and can't finish. We have the best finisher in the NFL in Watt. We also have Garrett's kryponite in whoever we put up against him in Dan Moore (who is mediocre as hell against everyone else).
And of course, Browns are extremely fucked with Watson's cap hits and his now non playing time.
