Stormy-Eyed Epona from Hyrule Warriors: DE. One of my favorite weapons in the entire game.

XM Turbo is the shit but it only barely qualifies for this sub lol.

I did notice that once XM used to have "50s on 5" and "60s on 6" but those channels got taken down because no one was listening to them :( Fair enough, but I fear that's only going to get worse over time because when you think about it pop music isn't really that old. People are still alive today who witnessed the dawn of rock and roll itself, and you and I were part of the last generation that could grow up listening to it on the radio, but how much longer will that be relevant? Grunge is now classic rock, classic rock is now oldies, and oldies are barely even heard in the wild anymore. It makes me sad, but what can you do besides try in vain to keep the candle lit?

I am so over the performative coulrophobia of people after the IT reboot came out saying "OoOoOh RoNaLd mCdOnAlD So sCaRy". Like come on dude, I've seen these characters in dozens of commercials over the years and never ONCE has he been anything other than wholesome and heartwarming and entertaining to kids. Sure, he's a corporate mascot intended to get kids hyped into spending their parent's disposable income, but you know what, so is Mickey Mouse and people love him!

Now that it's been over two months, do you think the $70 price tag for Totk was justifiable? by glyiasziple in tearsofthekingdom

[–]gorka_la_pork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're exclusively asking people who liked and played the game enough to join its dedicated subreddit. Of course most of us consider it worth the price. The people you won't hear from are the hundreds or maybe thousands who didn't get their money's worth, in their own opinion.

Small comfort when you consider lots of games cost less than half and, at their best, are no less engaging than a AAA product. My most played game on Steam is Valheim and that's still technically on early access so I originally paid like $5 and not a dime since then.

On the plus side, knowing TotK makes this an easy choice. Since he's not technically the sage of wind, getting rid of Teba loses you very little except maybe the most broken OP character in Age of Calamity.

Nah I get it man :) I think anything played by a classic rock station is by definition classic rock. So by playing later generations of music they are redefining the genre.

If you prefer, I know Sirius has multiple channels for each era of rock, and those don't seem to change. Classic Vinyl for the Vietnam era, Classic Rewind for the 80s stuff, Lithium for grunge, and then of course the decade stations for pop music released within that decade (90s on channel 9, for example)

Personally I would agree with you, but I'm not the one defining it in this case. It's the radio stations drawing the lines while also wrestling with the immutable fact that yesterday's classic rock audiences are aging out. So they draw in younger listeners by re-defining what songs get airtime.

I'm surprised they didn't start ten years earlier than they did. Think about it, as late as 2004 Bowling For Soup thought it was weird that Motley Crue was classic rock. By that timeline grunge should have already been classic by 2014.

Common tactic with scam bots. Downvote bomb anyone who calls them out so the comment gets buried.

Horizon Walker doesn't get their cool movement options until level 11 :( I really really want to like that subclass but it just doesn't come together at the levels my groups tend to play at.

I want to buy the game, but how hard is it? by jojoslayed in celestegame

[–]gorka_la_pork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Celeste is the hardest game that your non-gamer relatives can beat in a reasonable timeframe, at least if we're talking about beating the story and seeing the end. If you then want to take on B and C sides or collect every strawberry and other secrets, just know that stage 1B picks up exactly where 7A leaves off in terms of difficulty. It's a gradual curve that makes sure you're ready before it hits you with new challenges.

I didn't think I'd go all the way through to Farewell, or complete 7C, and then before I knew it I just... did.
