Equipment

Your gift today will help save an Israeli tomorrow.

While vehicles are Magen David Adom’s most visible asset, our EMTs and paramedics depend on a staggering array of equipment and supplies to address every type of medical emergency.

This equipment often means the difference between life and death.

That’s why your support is crucial to ensure Israel’s EMTs and paramedics have what they need to save lives every day.

Current Equipment Needs

AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Kiosk

MDA’s paramedics and EMTs perform more than 500 resuscitations each month. An AED is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Because the average response time for an ambulance is seven minutes, MDA is installing AED kiosks in public locations throughout the country that can be used by a first responder or Good Samaritan to save a person’s life.

Donors will receive recognition on the kiosk. In addition, you will be recognized on a donor wall at the Marcus National Blood Services Center in Ramla, Israel.

First-Responder Red Bag

MDA has more than 30,000 volunteer EMTs and first responders who have dedicated themselves to saving lives. A First-Responder Red Bag can enable these heroes to provide lifesaving treatment at the scene while waiting for an ambulance. The First-Responder Red Bag also makes a great bar or bat mitzvah project that will create a memory everyone involved won’t soon forget.
