Cyberpunk 2077 is a role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt RED and published by CD Projekt S.A. This subreddit has been created by fans of the game to discuss EVERYTHING related to it. We can’t wait to see what you bring to the community choom!
TL;DR Game was marketed the last two years an RPG that includes content thats no longer in the game, they have suddenly started calling it an 'Action-Adventure' game and scrubbed 'RPG' from many of their marketing material. This is incredibly misleading.
If you go back and look at the marketing starting in 2018, not only did CDPR heavily market this game as an RPG, but there are also a number of features removed/missing. I would like to go back and find the interviews but CDPR themselves hyped this game up as being a better and more deep RPG and narrative experience than the Witcher.
Some missing features include:

Cut subway (now just fast travel with loading screen)

Cut wardrobe, now it all happens in inventory

Just to name a few.
If you look at the marketing materials from the past couple months you might notice that the word “RPG” was almost flat out removed from the messaging despite them referring to the game as such up until a couple of months ago. On CP2077’s own launch trailer on YouTube, Twitter bio, etc. you can see that they're now calling Cyberpunk 2077 as an "Open world action-adventure game".
This wouldn’t be such an issue had CDPR made that very clear years ago. But instead they quietly scrubbed the word from their messaging, dumbed down RPG mechanics, made dialogue options more limited than before, and instead we have this weird mish-mash of poorly fleshed out GTA and Borderlands-esque gameplay mechanics while also attempting to be an RPG. Even though they continued to market RPG mechanics and other cut content that didn't make it into the game.
I have no idea what this game is trying to be, but an evolution of what made The Witcher 3 so praised? I don’t think so. Many of us came into this game expecting an RPG similar in quality to the Witcher 3 - I don’t know about you but that was my only real expectation and that is absolutely not what we got. So much of the marketing over the past 2 years does not reflect the current state of this game at all, and I’m not just referring to bugs. I bought this game because it was supposed to be an RPG, not an action game.
Now what? Can we even consider this an RPG? Is it trying to be one or something else? Does that mean we can no longer compare it previous RPGs when critiquing? Have we been mislead?
CDPR has completely pulled a bait and switch here.

There's no point in analog cameras. They just make it take longer to turn the perspective toward what you want to look at. Or you turn the camera speed up and now it's really imprecise.
EDIT: to be clear, I mean for platformers or action-adventure games, obviously shooters require an analog camera of some kind
The C-button system lets you simply press the button and know exactly how much the camera is going to turn, almost instantly. N64 games were great for this reason. Mario 64 stands above the rest for the Mario Cam feature. By using Mario Cam, you can get all the direct benefits of going into first-person (i.e. positioning the camera directly behind you so you can run forward after aligning yourself with something), without having to awkwardly stand in place first. So essentially Mario 64 has the benefits of analog and digital camera control, all in one.

I've seen a lot of people in the AC: Odyssey discussion and reviews calling it an "RPG". This was fairly surprising for me to see, since I always thought that the AC series was an action-adventure game franchise, and I don't know when people started calling it an RPG. But then again, I realized that I could not exactly name what is the line that separates an "action-adventure with RPG elements" from a full-blown RPG game.
What gameplay elements and mechanics do you guys think separates the two genres from each other? Also just to stay on the current hot topic, do you think Assassin's Creed Odyssey can be called a true RPG?

We are Soulsforge, a small creative collective of game developers who had a fun side project to work on over the last year.
A joint proposal for a potential AAA game set in Brandon Sanderson's epic universe.
Our goal was to immerse ourselves in the Mistborn universe's environments and characters so that other fans could get a taste of what it might be like.

3D Japanese action adventure fighting game with visual style similar to the early 3D Final Fantasy games. From what I recall you could play as one of three different characters, who had their own story paths in the game at certain points, while being together at other times. I believe one of them was a bigger dude, sort of the tank of the group, while one was more kick focused, but my memory is real fuzzy on the characters. Setting is sort of futuristic, I think, and one of the early stages/locations might be a train station or something similar, and shortly after that I seem to recall the three characters splitting up, and depending on which one you play as one location was some sort of walkway with staircases going up and down. In each location you fight the henchmen of the bad guy, who may or may not have been equipped with guns. Story is the generic something along the lines of a girl friend of the trio gets kidnapped by the bad guy, and they set out to rescue her. I never managed to get far in the game, pretty much always dying to the first real boss fight, shortly after the story path of the three different main characters diverge and regroup
