I was curious where the lines are between these widely used terms.
I think we can all think of cars that are in these categories, but it is less clear what defines them. Especially as car performance is always improving it is difficult to gauge if a Ferrari 308 is a super car today as it accelerates slower than a modern V6 Camry. It was a supercar back in the 70's. So it isn't necessarily just performance numbers. One could say it is that it is a mid engine, but so is a Fiero and a Fiat X1/9, and they are not super cars.
So what, in your mind, defines these terms. Is it performance, price, exotic materials, big engines, styling, or some combination thereof?
