All photos in a post should be clear, in focus, well lit
All photos should be close up to only showcase the piercing or relevant body part in detail
Poses should be neutral and designed to only show off the piercing
No nudity beyond what is strictly necessary to show the piercing
Credit the piercer and shop by name whenever possible, include jewelry information if possible
Do not include social media handles, shop website links or (self) promotion in either photo or text
Choice of words matter, be kind to one another.
Abusive or judgmental comments, slurs and profanity, name-calling and personal insults will be removed and may lead to a ban per moderator discretion.
Bigotry and hate will be met with a ban.
Posts that fit into the following categories are considered NSFW and should be tagged as such:
Images of genital piercings, including the pubic mound, male and female nipples.
Images of blood, gore, or infection.
fresh dermal punches
Images interpretable as sexually suggestive
Imaging of piercings in progress (needle, or dermal punch in flesh)
Posts about genital piercings, or containing in-text links to any of the aforementioned NSFW topics
Zero tolerance for comments about appearance that are unrelated to the poster's piercing(s). For example physical features, perceived flaws, beauty and/or any sexual comments.
Offending users will be banned.
Anything and everything involving DIY piercing(s) is not allowed.
This includes, but is not limited to, anything advocating or instructing at-home piercings, reminiscing or cautionary tales.
DIY piercing is incredibly dangerous, for a number of reasons.

Unsafe, harmful, dangerous advice and/or at home “remedies” are not allowed on this subreddit.

Advice should be in line with current professional aftercare guidelines or be backed by scientific medical studies related to the healing of puncture wounds in relation to piercings

Don't use having a piercing as an excuse to post here. There's nothing wrong with wanting to show off yourself, but this is not the subreddit for that.

Low effort, memes, image macros, trolling, (comment) bots or karma farming are not allowed
Photography tip! To photograph your own piercings with the better back camera of your phone, get a mirror (or two). Aim the back camera at your piercing and with some angling you can see the screen of your phone in the mirror so you can frame, focus and take the photo.
