NBA
Brazilian here... next friday I'm going to USA for the first time. I will watch Rockets x GSW at Houston on Oct 29. It is appropriate use a GSW jersey in Houston? I dont understand if NBA separare teams fans in sectors, like soccer in Brazil. I will be in section 415 if helps.
Team rivalries in the NBA aren't as common anymore but I was wondering what the player rivalries are in the league. For example, Luka Doncic and Devin Booker, you can tell they don't like each other. Same thing with Giannis and Harden and there's a little bit of animus between Jokic and Embiid.
Pretty much all of these are rooted in some sort of battle in the sport (race for MVP or playoff performance) but I'm just curious are there any other personal rivalries throughout the league?
This draft will probably go down as the worst draft for the spurs given the Primo scandal and Wieskamp not panning out. But interestingly, Mamu and Bassey are also from this draft class and Bassey alone is already more impactful to the spurs than primo and wieskamp combined during their time here.
If both mamu and bassey end up becoming integral to the next great spurs teams, they could easily make up for 2021 imo, and I'll do some revisionist history and claim they were the 2021 spurs draft picks all along
From what I've heard most KY based NBA fans follow, and support players who played for UK or the Cardinals rather than supporting for the team itself. I'm guessing based on location most will either like the Pacers, Grizzlies, Hornets, or Lakers (Lakers because Anthony Davis).
I ask because usually I just watch the Wildcats but I've recently been talking to a new friend group and they strictly watch NBA over college basketball and they each support different teams (mostly the Bulls, lol), and I'd like to get into it as well and don't know where to start, or which team to watch.
I started going on nba message boards in the late 2000’s early 2010’s. Literally 80 percent of posts were about Lebron vs Kobe. No one else mattered. There is much more diversity in conversation today.
Hi guys,
I want to read the preview of the upcoming season for each of the team - not the one with nba.com as it is just a very shallow and short.
I’m interested with breakdown of the squad, how the team will try to play, what style of play, what is interesting to watch etc. It would be great that the analysis have some plays & stats from previous years, tendencies.
Ideally written in text instead of podcast/videos but I will take anything. The paid content is fine too.
Thanks, Piotr
More people are working from home and/or have flexible hours. Have two or three Friday games at 5 or 6pm. Would also help the players if they have a long east or west coast trip, they can get on the plane a couple hours earlier. If baseball has been successful with it why cant the nba try it too?

Obviously this trade is unlikely, since it requires
A) a disgruntled star to desire the Warriors
B) the Warriors to be willing to remain a second-apron taxpayer with a giant bill late into Steph’s final years of his career
C) the star-trading team to find the Warriors’ offer of 4 picks, 3 swaps, Kuminga, Podz, and Moody to be the best they could get. There’s no sure-fire star there in that package from the Warriors, although the picks could be high-lottery as the Warriors’ core ages.
So, who might be available?
Karl-Anthony Towns. Acquired just days before his extension kicks in, this deal could happen in late June when Towns still making only $36M. The Warriors wouldn’t need to include all the young guys to make the salaries work in this one - just CP3 and one of the young guys - and they also wouldn’t need to negotiate a new contract with Towns, who is secured long into the future. This trade assumes an unsuccessful Wolves ‘23-24 season where they have finally decided the fit between Towns and Gobert doesn’t work, and Gobert as a lower-usage player is a better fit alongside the high-usage, ball dominant Edwards.
Giannis. One remaining year of team control (‘24-25). This trade assumes the Bucks had a disappointing flame out in the ‘24 playoffs and Giannis informs the team he intends to leave in FA in the summer of ‘25. The Lillard trade didn’t yield a ECF appearance, as the Bucks once again looked outcoached come playoff time. Giannis sees the bare cupboard with no future Bucks first-rounders and no young prospects and asks out to maximize his remaining prime and get to one of his desired locations.
Embiid. Two remaining years of team control, and team situation that already looks dysfunctional before the season has even started.
