A lot of these places are either not open to travelers from the US (and may or may not be in the near future) or have special requirements for foreigners."
We probably won't be seeing ~$400 flights any time soon due to COVID.

Some of the airlines are only showing prices for the shitty basic economy (Can't pick seat, etc), so expect the price to be a little more. Especially with Delta.
I would recommend buying from the airline's website instead of third party (priceline, expedia, etc).
Ideally, you want your layover to be in the same country as your point or origin. So your final destination is where you go through customs and not worry about missing a flight. If that isn't the case, try to find a flight with ~2 hour layover.
