It seems most lunch buffets have watermelon as an option in the salad bar. Watermelon is some kind of standard staple in a salad bar in Finland and I’m curious as to why.
It doesn’t grow locally nor is the watermelon that can be found in Finland particularly full-flavored.
Don’t get me wrong - I quite like watermelon - I must find it odd to find it at almost every buffet.
