Adventures in Middle-earth and LOTR 5e are tabletop RPGs published by Cubicle 7 and Free League respectively. They are based on the works of JRR Tolkien. AiME released first, and LOTR 5e uses many of the classes and concepts designed there. The two editions are largely compatible, and we welcome resources and discussion for both!

Hey gang. You might know me as that person who obsesses over Eldar the way most people obsess about Space Marines.

I posted a week or so ago about how Wrath and Glory finally seems committed to exploring the Eldar, doing them justice, and giving us some flavor and worldbuilding to chew on. Threat Assessment: Xenos was a great first step, answering basic questions about Corsairs that had only been hinted at before (things like hierarchy, what soul weavers are, details on felarchs, way-seekers, and void dreamers, etc.).

As I mentioned in the last thread, Cubicle 7 (the company behind Wrath and Glory) announced in a press release that a new book all about the Eldar was being created called "Inheritance of Embers". Unfortunately, this is the only time it's ever been mentioned, and we're past the original release date.

I spoke briefly with a rep from Cubicle 7 about this (Matthew) and he confirmed the book has been delayed but should be out by July!

I wasn't excited about this book at all, but after seeing Cubicle 7 (and by extension GW I suppose) putting real effort into the Aeldari section of Threat Assessment: Xenos, I actually think we're in for some real insight into the lives of our favorite heavy-metal space elves.

If you're a fan, put this on your radar. It's rare that GW actually invests in factions like the Eldar, and if it doesn't succeed they'll likely assume there isn't a market for Aeldari content. They're already doing an awful job of advertising this (hence why I needed to make this thread) so it's gonna need all the help it can get.

Anyway, if you guys would like I can post some excerpts from the last book in future posts. There's also some cool stuff on Necrons, Tau, and Orks as well!
