I have never been as religious in my life before, but lately I’ve been trying to practice more and more. I don’t wear the hijab, but I’ve been attempting Salah more and wearing more modest clothes.
All this to say, I love this new community of women I found on this Reddit who are nonjudgemental! It is so hard to find genuine advice online because there are so many people in the comments section telling women we are not Muslim enough for ‘xyz,’ reasons.
For men, it’s easier. They don’t have an everyday outwardly display that highlights where they are in their journey with Islam. Whereas, we women do, and if we struggle with it, it shows.
I love the hijab, and I hope to wear it iA. And I’m grateful to have found a place where there’s genuine guidance and advice available.
Thanks ladies!
