Crypto enthusiasts are welcome to participate but their opinions and predictions are not acceptable arguments. We discuss how things work NOW, not how awesome you think something is/could be. If you make a point, it has to be backed up with references, not an opinion. No Memes.
When you resort to name-calling, you've lost the argument, and you're adding nothing of value to the conversation. This includes making sweeping generalizations about the sub's people or purpose. Want to know what we're about? It's on the sidebar.
Also, don't publicly tell the mods how to moderate. If you have an issue with a mod, contact the mod team. No Muck-raking.
No promotions or advertisements for Crypto currencies - If you want to discuss the pros/cons of a crypto, provided you supply evidence, it is allowed, but not opinions, anecdotes/testimonials or references by URL. If you make a claim, explain the claim, and cite a reference as backup, not the entire argument.
If you don't have anything insightful to add to the conversation and just want to provoke people, find another place to troll. If you make a zero-content post that looks to be karma farming, or makes no sense and your post history indicates similar activity, you will be banned.
You are free to disagree with issues and articles raised, but bring logic and reason to the discussion, not "feelings" and shitposts.
Think you're right and someone else is wrong? By all means let's discuss.. BUT
If you repeatedly argue and do not bring factual evidence confirming your point from a reputable source...
If you use, "You don't understand" as an argument...
If you "argue by URL"...
If you make a claim and then disappear when asked to back it up with details...
If you make un-cited sweeping generalizations about large groups of people

We will routinely add flair to people in this sub who try to astroturf and promote crypto. If you hide your flair you can be banned. Sorry, but this is something we do here. If you're going to be defending/shilling crypto, you will be labeled as such to make people aware that you are not an objective participant in the debate.
We welcome people of all positions in this community, however, if you post comments or submissions and don't stick around to engage the community's questions, you will be banned for spamming.
/r/CryptoReality is dedicated to the pragmatic and rational examination of crypto currency and related technologies such as blockchain, De-Fi, Fin-tech, etc.
Our goal is to be an alternative to the overwhelming number of "crypto shill" social media bubbles, who have an inherent conflict of interest between reporting what's really going on in the industry and what's in the material interest of "investors."
We showcase objective news, critical analysis and fallacy-free debate and discussion.

NO, we do not "hate crypto." We are simply skeptical of the claims made by most in the industry, and feel there is a need for a space willing to critically examine the industry, the promises, the lies, the fraud and the scams that seem to be constant.
We also have nothing against "Blockchain" technology, although we are still looking for a definitive problem for which it presents a superior solution.
