My partner and I planned a last minute trip to the Caribbean to beat the gray weather in the northeast US. Jamaica happened to be the cheapest at the time we were looking. I knew vaguely that Jamaica is pretty gay unfriendly and we obviously planned to not do PDA in public, but as I was talking to a friend, they expressed extreme concern and said that we need to be really careful, and seemed to be doubtful that avoiding PDA will be enough (I’m kinda butch but when it’s hot out I’m obviously not wearing flannels and cargo pants. It’s really just that I have short hair and some tattoos and piercings).
