My dogs vet prescribed BRAVECTO. It's a preventative flea treatment in a meaty smelling cake. I offered it as a treat. They both sniffed it suspiciously and politely declined.
No problem I thought. I'll cut it up real fine and mix it into their food. After a mouthful or two they both stopped eating and gave me the side eye.
I want my mutts to take their medicine and I don't want to waste the £50 it cost me.
Is there a doggy equivalent to a spoonful of sugar to make their medicine go down?
Update. Success. Ultimately, hunger was the motivator. They were not getting any more food until they both ate their medicine.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to offer you advice and insights. It's appreciated.
