Hi all,
I hope you're doing well!
I am a researcher in linguistics at Lancaster University in the UK. I am looking for natively English speaking participants for some experimental research. Unfortunately, for research integrity reasons, I am unable to divulge any information about the nature of the experiment prior to completion.
For the purposes of this study, "Native English Speaker" (re: title) refers to someone for whom English was the primary mode of communication between the speaker and one or more parents/primary guardians throughout their entire childhood or someone who grew up in a primarily English-speaking society from at least the ages of 6 to 18. This, of course, also includes anybody who was born and raised in an English-speaking country.
"English" refers to any widely spoken variety of English (and, as such, can be reasonably loosely interpreted).
So, if the above description applies to you, and you're perhaps interested in seeing what a psycholinguistic experiment can look like, this stranger would greatly appreciate your help!

If you are NOT a native English speaker, as described above, please do NOT complete the experiment as the number of "completion slots" is limited.
Thank you very much for reading.

What are we researching? People differ in the ways they deal with experiencing emotions. This study aims to see if we can identify profiles, characterised by differences in the way people manage their emotions. We will also investigate if personality tendencies, ways of interacting with others socially and aggression play a role in any differences found.
What's involved? You will be asked to complete some questionnaires online.
Who can take part? You must be aged 18 years or older and living in the UK to take part.
