every single time Pattern refers to himself or any other "pattern", he could just as easily be discussing another Cryptic.

That doesn't really make sense to me because although in Alethi they call each other Pattern, that's just a language thing. They do have a sense of self and individuality; they're not a hivemind.

So when Shallan asks "what's the last thing you remember" he wouldn't answer what another Cryptic remembers

Later in the book he should figure out the difference and could have corrected the record, but by that point he's also seen how much forcing her to remember hurts her, so he stops pushing.

I think Pattern was part of Testament's team and they were observing Testament's bond during her time with Shallan. Pattern remembers what happened to Testament

Interesting idea. Then when she asked what he remembered he said the last time he remembered seeing Shallan.

Those teams of Cryptics though seem to leave once one is bonded. I don't recall Shallan seeing them in her drawings anymore after drawing out Pattern for the first time.
It's interesting though because I'd figure that they'd stay around and observe her, or go and bond other people. Seems like they didn't do either
